We are back with another exciting WWE News Roundup. A top SmackDown Superstar has a "bone to pick" with John Cena and wants to face him at a huge event.

A recent WWE signee highlighted how Brock Lesnar has been helpful to him. Meanwhile, a dream match for an upcoming Monday Night RAW episode featuring Roman Reigns is now official.

Edge has stated that he "would love" to face a popular SmackDown villain. Additionally, Drew McIntyre listed a few names for his potential faction on RAW.

With that in mind, let's dive straight into the latest WWE News Roundup.

#5 Finn Balor wants to have a WWE WrestleMania match against John Cena

It's no secret that Finn Balor was initially supposed to face Roman Reigns at this year's SummerSlam event. However, John Cena swooped in to sign the match contract instead and became Reigns' opponent for the said pay-per-view.

During a recent interview with Mirror, Balor - in character - called out Cena for taking up his SummerSlam opportunity. He said they could resolve their issues at The Grandest Stage of Them All - WrestleMania.

“I can’t think of a better place to face John Cena than at WrestleMania. I’ve got a bone to pick with John, the SummerSlam main event was mine, my name was printed on the contract, however, John signed it. There’s certainly an issue that needs to be settled between me and John and if we can do that at WrestleMania all the better,” said Finn Balor.

Cena lost to the Universal Champion in their main event showdown at SummerSlam. Even Balor - who eventually faced Roman Reigns earlier this month - could not defeat him.

However, the former NXT star will get to fight Reigns again, as his Demon persona, at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view on September 26.

#4 Gable Steveson received some guidance from WWE megastar Brock Lesnar

Gable Steveson recently signed with WWE, and the timing of his deal seems perfect, as the 21-year-old became an Olympic gold medalist not too long ago.

During an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, the freestyle wrestler highlighted Brock Lesnar's influence on him. Steveson found Lesnar's career path quite helpful, as the latter had a sports background before transitioning into the world of WWE.

“Besides talking to guys like Lesnar and Triple H and such, I haven’t actually talked to another collegiate wrestler in WWE….[Brock] was a good part [of the decision] because the Brock Lesnar path, like we talked about, he started with WWE and went to the NFL and made it to the final stages of being on the team, then went to UFC. So, I mean the Brock Lesnar route is helpful for me, and I want to pave my own way and have my own destiny. He was a big help in this, and it was cool that he gave me some guidance,” said Steveson.

#3 Roman Reigns and The Usos to face The New Day on WWE RAW

The Bloodline vs. The New Day, a dream match for many WWE fans, will come to fruition on the September 20th episode of RAW.

Despite recently winning the Red brand's world title, Big E showed up to the latest SmackDown episode during Roman Reigns' segment. He then teamed up with Finn Balor to defeat SmackDown Tag Team Champions Jimmy and Jey Uso. Due to this loss, The Usos viciously beat up Big E later backstage.

These developments serve as the context behind why the latter, alongside his New Day brothers Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, will take on The Bloodline in six-man tag team action soon.

Interestingly, Roman Reigns, as part of The Shield, defeated The New Day in a six-man tag team contest at Survivor Series 2017.

Will he be able to replicate the same result alongside Jey and Jimmy Uso? Since Big E and Reigns are both current world champions, the winning stakes seem much higher during the upcoming episode of RAW.

#2 Edge wants a first-time-ever WWE feud with Sami Zayn

There are undoubtedly many possibilities for WWE dream matches when it comes to Edge. The Rated-R Superstar recently highlighted one of those scenarios against SmackDown's Sami Zayn.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, the Hall of Famer praised Zayn's work as a villainous character. Edge said the 37-year-old star knows exactly how to get booed and that his promos feel "much more real."

“I would love to share the ring with Sami Zayn.” Edge continued, “There’s a key to Sami’s success. There is an element of truth to all his promos. As a heel, you have to have that nugget of truth. If you have it, you can push everything else forward. So his promos feel much more real. He’s doing incredible work. The crowd just knows to boo this guy. That’s to his credit. His promos, his character work - Sami is incredible.”

Given how intriguing Edge's promos are, it would be a newsworthy moment to see him and Sami Zayn's delusional on-screen persona have a verbal back-and-forth at some point down the road.

#1 Drew McIntyre picks Riddle and two other WWE RAW Superstars for his potential faction

Several days ago, Drew McIntyre told Steve Fall of Turnbuckle Talk that Damian Priest, Riddle, and Omos would be his picks to form a new WWE RAW faction.

McIntyre named Priest as he was impressed by the latter's in-ring skills. The Scottish Warrior also said he did not want to be betrayed by any potential faction members, which is why he chose Riddle. Picking Omos seemed like an easy decision for him because why wouldn't anyone want to ally with a 7ft 3in tall WWE Superstar?

“Damian Priest. We’ve got a good back and forth the past few weeks. And you know, he thoroughly impressed me on Monday Night RAW with myself, Sheamus and himself in a triple-threat match. He stepped up to me and Sheamus - two of the most physical wrestlers in the history of WWE, not just currently. Riddle as well. I think he's so happy go lucky. I feel like it would be obvious if he was going to turn on me. I think he would foreshadow it. I feel like Omos could be easily swayed. You know, he's a big angry man but he's got AJ by his side. I feel like if I sat him down, had a little chat with him and pulled him to the good side, it’d be handy to have somebody who’s 7 foot 3,” said McIntyre.

Interestingly, Damian Priest and Riddle won different titles during this year's SummerSlam event.

While Priest became the United States Champion, Riddle gained the RAW tag team titles alongside Randy Orton at the said pay-per-view.
