NXT prepares to move to USA Network

WWE NXT is preparing to make a major move forward in the storied history of the Wednesday night brand, as the show will officially move to USA Network on September 18th and move to a two-hour format.

The first two episodes of NXT on USA Network will see the first hour of the show broadcast live on USA Network, and the second hour broadcast live on WWE Network. Following the first two episodes of the show, NXT will air live on USA Network from 8pm - 10pm EST every Wednesday night..

Following the announcement that NXT will be moving to USA Network beginning on September 18th, questions began to circulate regarding the future of 205 Live, which as of this writing airs live on WWE Network immediately following SmackDown on Tuesday nights.

Triple H addresses the future of 205 Live

WWE executive Triple H recently spoke with Newsweek, and during the interview The Game was asked if 205 Live will morph under the NXT umbrella once NXT moves to USA Network.

"You'll start to see 205 begin to, I think it always existed as an island onto itself, a little bit, and it's become lost in this limbo. You'll begin to see it move more towards the NXT banner and the talent there. We have a lot of talent. For them to begin to compete either open against anyone or in the cruiserweight division, but have that title sit under the NXT brand is more meaningful. It creates more opportunities for more people."
