WWE News: WWE asks fans about watching indie wrestling

WWE has formed a solid relationship with EVOLVE

WWE has really changed its perception of other pro-wrestling organisations. A few years ago, it was almost unheard of for WWE to acknowledge other companies besides themselves. Now, however, things really have changed, and their partnership with EVOLVE has only been one example of it.

WWE sent out a poll to the fans asking them about their habits on viewing independent wrestling, fueling the speculation that they may be interested in having indie wrestling content on the WWE Network:

The latest WWE Fan Council survey asked fans which of these indie promotions they frequently view:

* Pro Wrestling Guerrilla

* CHIKARA

* EVOLVE

* Dragon Gate USA

* Ohio Valley Wrestling

* All American Wrestling

* Combat Zone Wrestling

* Shimmer

* Ring of Honor

* Full Impact Pro

As mentioned above, WWE even acknowledging outside promotions is something that was unheard of until recently.

Perhaps it could be possible they have realised that working side-by-side with these outside promotions for mutual benefit, brings more benefit than simply ignoring them altogether.

A Ring Of Honor official once said that he would love to see Ring Of Honor content on the WWE Network, but there would be a long legal process and lot of negotiations with regards to such a deal, to see who will get the better end out of it, or how they could possibly make things mutually beneficial.

There were also strong rumours over the past few weeks that WWE was trying to purchase TNA’s tape library. TNA President Billy Corgan then, in his lawsuit against TNA, demanded to know all information regarding a potential WWE buyout.

What is interesting is that Corgan himself does not know the location of the library, and is demanding to know that as well.

Here is a clip of TNA stars invading an EVOLVE show that featured NXT competitor Johnny Gargano, further creating new waves:

Their partnership also took a new stride when Sami Zayn made an appearance at an EVOLVE show last year
