WWE News: WWE Live India event is now a one day 'Supershow'

What's the story?

This December's WWE Live India tour will be a 'Supershow' on December 9th which will feature an all-star lineup, comprising of some of the biggest RAW stars and Indian-origin superstar, Jinder Mahal.

In case you didn't know...

WWE had initially announced that Jinder Mahal would be defending his WWE Championship at WWE Live India against Kevin Owens.

Subsequently, Mahal lost his championship to AJ Styles on SmackDown Live, and he was thereafter challenged by Triple H to a match for the ages.

The heart of the matter

This is what the press release had to say:

WWE and Sony Pictures Networks India today announced that WWE Live in India at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium will now feature one "Supershow" on Saturday, December 9, including the return of WWE Superstar Triple H™ vs. “The Modern-Day Maharaja”, Jinder Mahal™, in the main event. Tickets are still available at https://in.bookmyshow.com/sports/wwe-live-india-tickets/

The press release went on to mention the reason for the same and the match card:

To meet the requests of WWE fans in India, and deliver the biggest main event in the country’s history, WWE is combining two nights of family-friendly action into a one-night only, exclusive Supershow.

There were a few changes made to the card as well, most notably with The Miztourage facing Indian wrestlers Jeet Rama and Kishan Raftar.
