WWE News: WWE slowly bringing back Hulk Hogan to WWE television?

Is The Hulkster finally being put back into the WWE books?

Hulk Hogan got fired from WWE last year in July after a recording of Hulk Hogan going on a racist rant was released. Not only did they fire him, but they removed him from the Hall Of Fame and completely erased him from their history books and made no mention of him whatsoever. Another thing was that Hulk Hogan was amidst legal turmoil with Gawker after they had released a sex tape featuring him.

Once things started dying down, there were suggestions made that WWE could be slowly introducing him again. On the Stone Cold podcast that took place on the WWE Network on Feb 16th, 2016, Stone Cold and his guest, The Big Show, spoke extensively on Hogan and his impact on Show’s career. There seemed to have been no objection to it.

Even a few months back on The Edge And Christian Show That Totally Reeks of Awesomeness, Edge and Christian made a joke mentioning Hulk Hogan openly. Some time after that on Raw, JBL mentioned Hogan’s name as well.

Another notable happening in the recent month’s was Hulk Hogan’s successful lawsuit against Gawker, rendering them bankrupt in the process. Wrestling Inc. stated that Hogan was featured in one of the most recent WWE Network commercials on WWE TV.

Naturally, this isn't gospel that The Hulkster is returning, but it definitely has implications that WWE may be trying to slowly tend to the wound created a year ago. After all, Hulk Hogan is a legend whose contributions to not just the company, but the wrestling business as a whole cannot be forgotten. He was one of WWE’s original icons and is considered to be the first of the four faces of WWE till date (the other three being Stone Cold, The Rock, and John Cena).

Triple H himself has made it clear in the past that they are open to having Hogan return at some point, just that they were not sure when that would be. Perhaps this could be an implication that some communication under the table has been happening between WWE and Hulk Hogan.

Hogan’s return will definitely get mixed reactions in the current day. While many wrestling fans will be overjoyed to see the Icon back, others may be skeptical after knowing well Hogan’s past and the racial comments that he had made which got him into trouble in the first place.
