What’s the story?
New Japan Pro Wrestling star and the former leader of the Bullet Club, Kenny Omega recently stopped by the Twitch headquarters in Japan for a live Nintendo games session.
During the spell with Twitch, Omega was seemingly asked a lot of wrestling related, including if he’s willing to sign for the WWE anytime in the near future.

In case you didn’t know…
Ever since taking over the leadership of the Bullet Club from “The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles, Kenny Omega has seemed to evolve himself to a new level as a Heavyweight in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Omega, who first started out in NJPW as a Junior Heavyweight, has been on the WWE’s radar for a long long time and there have been several reports that have suggested that the WWE tried to sign Omega on several occasions, most notably after Wrestle Kingdom 11, when Omega failed to capture the IWGP Heavyweight Championship from Champion Kazuchika Okada.
The heart of the matter
During the recent Twitch broadcast, featuring both Kenny Omega and his Golden Lovers tag team partner Kota Ibushi, “The Cleaner” decided to clear the air regarding a potential move to WWE and provided with the latest on signing with Vince McMahon’s promotion anytime soon in the near future.
Omega stated that right now, his current answer about signing with the WWE is “no”, as he claimed that he is currently having a lot of fun in his wrestling career, that mostly revolves around NJPW and Ring of Honor.
"I don't want to be a robot. I don’t want to be controlled. Ummm even though there is a lot of great talent, some of my good friends are still in WWE. I wish them all the best but to be able to tell the stories, the kind of stories I want to tell with who I believe are the greatest talents in the world, um that’s most important to me right now.”
Additionally, the former IWGP US Champion claimed that he doesn’t want to be a robot and doesn’t wants to be controlled by the WWE management.
However, despite not willing to sign with the WWE, Omega added that some of his good friends are still in the WWE and he wishes them nothing but the best in their career.
What’s next?
Moving on from the WWE rumors, Kenny Omega’s current concern will definitely be the on-going dissension within the Bullet Club, most notably between Omega and Cody Rhodes, who are both set to square off in a singles match at this year’s ROH: Supercard of Honor.
Author’s Take
Personally, I think there is no reason for Kenny Omega to sign for the WWE now or anytime soon in the future. Omega, in my opinion, has been a hugely successful superstar in NJPW and is currently playing a huge role in taking the promotion to the next level, in foreign countries such as the US.
