What a way to start WrestleMania weekend! Five championships will be defended at NXT TakeOver: New York and one thing is for certain. We will crown a new NXT Champion.

NXT Championship: Johnny Gargano vs Adam Cole

We are on the brink of history as Johnny Gargano will face-off against Adam Cole in a 2-out-of-3 falls match for the currently vacated NXT Championship.

Gargano was set to square off against Tommaso Ciampa in the latest instalment of their historic rivalry. But a neck injury forced the Blackheart to relinquish the title.

The WWE COO, Triple H, decided that the new champion will be decided in a bout between Gargano and the winner of a Fatal-five way match between Adam Cole, Aleister Black, Ricochet, Velveteen Dream and Matt Riddle, in which the Undisputed Era leader emerged victorious.

The Game also added the stipulation to ensure that we will have a new champion.

Will it be a fairytale ending for Johnny Wrestling or will Adam Cole add the NXT title to his accomplishments and become the first Triple Crown Champion in NXT?

All three women have pushed the Queen Of Spades to her limit forcing the NXT Women's Champion to use underhand tactics to save her crown.

In what promises to be an absolute heated battle, can the Submission Magician reign supreme or will have a new queen on top of the NXT Women's champion?

The Austrian Anomaly has been destructive since making his debut and came face to face with NXT UK champion at the NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool event.

With Pete Dunne demanding a match with WALTER at NXT TakeOver: New York, will it prove to be a mistake or will the Bruiserweight continue his dominance?

The War Raiders will now lock horns with the hottest tag-team in WWE at the moment in the form of Aleister Black & Ricochet. The duo has made their presence felt in the main roster and are even part of the fatal-four-way match for the SmackDown Live Tag-Team titles at WrestleMania 35.

Hanson & Rowe have dominated the NXT tag-team division since their debut and will not be ready to give away their titles that easy.

We could be in for a classic between these two teams and at the moment it will be very hard to predict who would win the match.

Will the King Of Bro's reign supreme and add the title to his undefeated record in one-on-one competition or will the Dream paint New York purple?
