WWE RAW Superstars had their fair share of highs and lows this week

WWE RAW after Hell in a Cell 2020 had a few interesting segments lined up. The show confirmed the first three members of the men's team that will represent the Red brand at Survivor Series. In addition to that, we also know all the five WWE RAW Superstars who will constitute the women's team at the next pay-per-view. Those names include Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Mandy Rose, Dana Brooke, and Lana.

WWE also confirmed three matches for Survivor Series 2020. The New Day will face SmackDown tag team champions Street Profits while Asuka will take on Sasha Banks. Finally, Randy Orton who will represent RAW as the WWE Champion is set to take on Roman Reigns from SmackDown.

In this article, we will take a look at three Superstars who impressed on WWE RAW this week and two who didn't. So, without further adieu, let's begin.

#5 Impressed on WWE RAW: AJ Styles

AJ Styles will prove to be immensely useful as a heel on WWE RAW

WWE Superstar AJ Styles' return to the Red brand has looked promising so far. His arrival on WWE RAW created a lot of buzz last week as The Phenomenal One brought Jordan Omogbehin as his bodyguard. It is safe to say that Styles' 7-foot-3 friend is an extremely safe bet for the former world champion.

Tonight on WWE RAW, AJ Styles locked horns with Jeff Hady in an exciting match. Both Superstars engaged in a well-balanced encounter and took turns to gain control of the match. Finally, Styles ended up beating Jeff Hardy in a memorable qualifying match to become the first official member of WWE RAW's men's team for the traditional five-on-five Survivor Series match against SmackDown.

Following their WWE RAW match, Jeff Hardy was attacked by Elias who came from behind intending to extend their feud further. Elias still thinks that it was Hardy who ran over him and both Superstars are now involved in a rivalry on the Red brand.

As far as AJ Styles is concerned, he came out of this match looking really strong. Moreover, he ensured that Jordan Omogbehin appears as a legit threat. It will now be interesting to see if Styles will lead the WWE RAW men's team at Survivor Series. Given that he is a heel, there's a high chance that he will be involved in altercations with his fellow teammates in the coming weeks. That being said, including Styles in the team was undoubtedly a good decision from the creative heading into Survivor Series.

#4 Flopped on WWE RAW: Elias

Elias should never be back on this list
Elias should never be back on this list

It was painful to name Elias as one of the Superstars who flopped on WWE RAW this week. Tonight, he faced Keith Lee in a qualifying match to determine the second member of WWE RAW's men's Survivor Series team.

The blame for this match would ideally be shared by both the Superstars. It was quite a boring in-ring encounter. Both Elias and Lee looked lazy inside the ring. The closing moments of the match saw Elias distracted by Jeff Hardy that allowed Lee to capitalize on the opportunity to steal an underwhelming win on WWE RAW.

Following that, Jeff returned the favor from earlier in the night and broke a guitar on Elias' back. While we expect both Elias and Jeff Hardy to continue their feud, it will be interesting to see if they both will lock horns in another qualifying match for a spot in WWE RAW's team. This rivalry looks promising and the creative should make the best use of both these talented Superstars.

#3 Impressed on WWE RAW: Matt Riddle

The match evidently took a lot from Matt Riddle tonight

On tonight's episode of WWE RAW, Matt Riddle locked horns with Sheamus in the best match of the night. Both Superstars engaged in a battle to determine the next member of RAW's team for Survivor Series. They had a good match despite no prominent build-up leading up to their in-ring encounter.

Although Sheamus won the match on WWE RAW, Riddle ended up looking stronger than ever on the Red brand. This match did more than enough to establish Riddle as someone who not only looks good inside the ring but also works hard to deliver a good narration throughout their match.

It is possible that Riddle may get another shot at being included in WWE RAW's Survivor Series squad. We hope that he will be booked in another interesting match-up in the coming weeks. Not to forget Sheamus also deserves a lot of credit for working well with Riddle inside the ring tonight. Let's see if WWE will book more matches between these two Superstars in the future.

#2 Flopped on WWE RAW: RETRIBUTION

The RETRIBUTION deserve better than this
The RETRIBUTION deserve better than this

For the sake of this slide, we will count this entire stable as one unit. And also because they all looked equally weak. Not so long ago, T-Bar's epic stint on Twitter single-handedly got RETRIBUTION over with the WWE Universe. Their feud with The Hurt Business got even more interesting after it was revealed that Mustafa Ali was the leader of the stable. Unfortunately, things started going downhill for the newly introduced faction on WWE RAW ever since.

Tonight, they faced The Hurt Business in an elimination match. To say that RETRIBUTION folded like cards in front of The Hurt Business would be an understatement. The likes of T-Bar and Slapjack were made to look extremely week inside the ring on WWE RAW.

The match ended with Mustafa Ali using a chair to attack Cedric Alexander, which disqualified RETRIBUTION. With that, The Hurt Business have now registered three consecutive victories over the Mustafa Ali-led stable. The latter are yet to pick a victory over MVP and co. We hope that the creative have better plans in store for the members of RETRIBUTION on WWE RAW, thereby doing justice to the extremely talented Superstars from the said group.

#1 Impressed on WWE RAW: Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre is already working on his plans
Drew McIntyre is already working on his plans

Drew McIntyre lost his title to Randy Orton at Hell in a Cell last night. He then opened the first episode of WWE RAW following the pay-per-view and went on to address the fans. The former WWE Champion stated that he will work hard towards capturing the world title once again before he was rudely interrupted by Miz, the new Mr. Money in the Bank.

An agitated McIntyre was then involved in a brief altercation with Miz and John Morrison which led to a match being booked for later in the night. McIntyre then locked horns with The Miz beating both him and simultaneously silencing Morrison in his match on WWE RAW. His dominant win certainly assured that he has not lost any part of his dominance despite losing the title.

But that wasn't all for McIntyre. In the closing moments of the show, Randy Orton appeared as a guest on Alex Bliss' talk show, Moment of Bliss. A paranoid Orton was searching for 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt who made an appearance but wasn't directly involved with Orton. Instead, it was McIntyre who made the best use of this opportunity and manhandled Orton to send a strong message to end this week's episode of WWE RAW.
