WWE RAW: 3 obscure but important details you probably missed (November 11th, 2019)

WWE presented the pre-recorded episode of Monday Night RAW last night from Manchester England and the build-up to Survivor Series continued as the men's Survivor Series team was announced and included Kevin Owens, Ricochet, Randy Orton and team captain Seth Rollins.

AJ Styles will also be looking to ensure that the RAW roster comes out on top when he takes on both North American Champion Roderick Strong and Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in the fourth triple threat match announced involving all three WWE brands.

It was a stacked episode of the show that contained all of the right build-up to Survivor Series, which is now less than two weeks away. Whilst there was a lot to focus on last night on RAW, here are three obscure details that many fans probably missed.

#3 The crowd was definitely edited

Monday Night RAW from the United Kingdom is always pre-recorded a few hours earlier to fit in with the time change, but this time around WWE pre-recorded this week's episode of their flagship show almost three days in advance.

This meant that there was more than enough time for the company to edit out any issues with the crowd, any botches and of course, any production errors. Whilst WWE was able to edit out all of the subtle issues that would have happened on a live show, they were also able to edit in crowd reactions.

It became evident throughout that much like SmackDown on Friday night, the crowd was heavily edited with boos and cheers placed in at random moments when the company needed the crowd to be a little more active than they actually were.

The UK crowd are usually the most active but it appears that this year the crowd was dead for both SmackDown and RAW.

#2 Where was the tag rope?

Seth Rollins laid down the challenge to Walter this week on RAW so that he could prove that he was better than the best in the UK. This didn't go to plan since Imperium came with Walter and interfered in the match, making it an eight-man tag when The Street Profits and Kevin Owens made the save.

Whilst Imperium followed the rules and held the tag rope throughout their match, the face team were not able to follow suit since there was no tag rope on their side of the ring. Throughout the match, The Street Profits and Kevin Owens are seen holding onto the top rope rather than a rope that wasn't there.

Later in the show, WWE remembered to put a tag rope in the face corner for the main event six-man tag match between The OC, Randy Orton, Ricochet and Humberto Carrillo. This then begs the question of why the company forgot to give them a tag rope for the eight-man tag match when it's supposed to be against the rules to stand in the corner without holding the rope?

#1 Randy Orton forgot who Ricochet was

Randy Orton was forced to team with one of his recent rivals, Ricochet this week when the duo and Humberto Carrillo took on The OC in the main event. This match came about following a backstage segment between all six men when it was made obvious that Styles' ego had once again got the better of him.

The match was originally supposed to see Orton take on Ricochet, but The Viper changed his mind when Styles pitched a six-man tag and told Carrillo and Ricochet to find a partner. The Viper then went on to cut a promo of his own where he somewhat revealed why he had decided to join the face team despite being seen as a heel for most of his career, and then named his two teammates.

Orton was able to remember Carrillo's name but then he looked at Ricochet and after what was an awkward few seconds, he finally realized who he was. There's taking a standard pause for effect and then there's waiting too long and it genuinely looked as though Orton completely forgot what Ricochet's name was.
