WWE RAW: 5 Major digs Superstars took on the show tonight

Those were some amazing promos!
Those were some amazing promos!

With just two weeks to go for WWE Clash of Champions, Monday Night RAW came live to us from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore. The show did a decent job in building up the upcoming PPV, announcing a major match and also witnessing an unexpected turn in the main event.

Throughout the show, numerous superstars took major digs not just at their opponents, but the entire company itself. In this article, let's take a look at five of them. Did you enjoy tonight's edition of RAW? Let us know in the comments section below.

#5 AJ Styles calling out the random title matches being booked in WWE

The opening segment of Monday Night RAW saw the RAW Tag Team Champions have a contract signing for their Universal Title match against each other at Clash of Champions. What was looking to be another cliche segment with the two taking jabs at each other took an interesting turn as the OC interrupted.

The United States champion, AJ Styles, was on fire on the mic as he went on to reveal some actual truths about the booking in the company.

"Are you kidding me!? Why does Braun Strowman get an opportunity (at the Universal Championship)? Because he's Seth Rollins' partner, is that it? Because he literally looked at the Universal Championship, picked it up and go (imitating Strowman's heavy voice) "Oww Braun Strowman would like to have this pretty thing", is that why?"

Truth be told, Styles indeed spoke out the views of many fans as evident by the plethora of tweets appreciating him for that promo. While it makes sense for the champion to pick his challenger on his terms, shouldn't there be some qualifying criteria?

Styles also mentioned how the US Champion should be the first in line to get a shot at the top title on RAW, which indicates a feud between him and Rollins after Clash of Champions (if they already aren't feuding in many ways!)

What is your take on AJ's comments on RAW tonight,?

#4 Rollins' pokes the Monster Among Men

Before AJ Styles so savagely interrupted the contract signing between Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman, these two were stating their plans of walking out of the PPV with two belts around their waists.

Things started decently with the two shaking hands before the segment began, but soon it escalated downhill. The Universal Champion, Seth Rollins, was initially respectful in answering Michael Cole's question but then things took an ugly turn when Braun Strowman interrupted. This led to Seth reminding the Monster Among Men about the one thing he has done which Braun failed to - slay the Beast, Brock Lesnar.

"To win this Universal title, I slayed the Beast, which unfortunately is something you couldn't do!"

Before Seth Rollins got the title of the BeastSlayer by defeating Lesnar first at WrestleMania and then SummerSlam, it was Strowman who got many chances to take out the Beast but he was unable to do so. Be it at SummerSlam 2017, Royal Rumble 2018, or Crown Jewel, it was Lesnar who had the number of the Monster.

The situation between the RAW Tag Team champions is getting uglier with each passing moment and one has to wonder whether they'll be able to co-exist during their title defense at Clash of Champions against Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler!

#3 The Man doesn't approve of Sasha

The RAW Women's division is on a rise again with the return of Sasha Banks and her feud with The Man, Becky Lynch. On RAW tonight, The Man returned after a brief vacation following her engagement with Seth Rollins and came out all guns blazing.

She claimed how Sasha does not deserve to complain about her stardom as Sasha was the one who overshadowed Becky on NXT and in the initial years in the main roster as well. Sasha was the one who was main-eventing RAWs and PPVs while Becky was just there witnessing it all before The Man happened.

Becky then also went on to take a dig on her NXT farewell match against Bayley as well, at the end of which she was given an emotional goodbye from the entire brand with flower bouquets for her contribution to its women's division.

"This company presented you bouquets after your matches"

Becky never got any such farewell, and she came to the main roster as a sidekick of Paige and Charlotte. The feelings were pretty real with this promo as none of the facts the RAW Women's Champion stated were false. After all the glory that she got, does Sasha have the right to complain about not getting an opportunity? What do you think?

#2 The Boss makes a huge statement

Well, after reading the last slide, if you thought Becky owned this segment, then you need to watch this. After Becky was done on the mic and in the mood for a fight, the Boss made her way out to the ring to deliver one of the best promos of her career.

She responded to Becky's comments on how Sasha wanted to be her by agreeing to the fact that it should have been her to main event WrestleMania and get her covers on the poster. But the dig after this was insane. She brought the fact that it was Nia Jax who made Becky so popular by breaking her nose before Survivor Series last year.

"I wish a Jax broke my face so people can care about me."

In case you don't remember, Becky was scheduled to face Ronda Rousey in a Champion vs Champion match at the PPV on November 2018. Right before that, she led an invasion attack from the Blue Brand on the Red one that ended with the entire Women's Division of RAW and SmackDown brawling inside the ring.

This is where the infamous incident of Nia Jax breaking Becky's nose with a punch took place, that led to Becky's fame rising to new heights.

Do you agree with Sasha on this?

#1 Bray Wyatt shuts up the Boss

The Firefly Funhouse is easily the best thing about the entire WWE programming. This week, Bray Wyatt returned alongside his friendly puppets and the Devil Vince McMahon to give us a hint at what holds next for him and The Fiend after defeating Finn Balor at SummerSlam.

Last week, a piece of major news broke out that The Fiend will be challenging either Seth Rollins/Braun Strowman at Hell in a Cell next month, thanks to a tweet from the arena where the event takes place. While nothing was confirmed so far, this segment of the Firefly Funhouse did confirm it to some extent.

The Devil Boss made an appearance in the episode, scolding Bray for announcing his intentions to go after Seth or Braun, to which Bray replied in the most hilarious way by taking out some dollar bills and saying -

"Don't fire me... Look what I've been making!"

He then went on to shove them inside the Devil's mouth, symbolizing how all Vince cares about is money. Truth be told, Bray Wyatt and his Fiend have made Vince a lot of money already with their immense popularity, and there's no way he would threaten Bray for anything he does.

I just love how Bray Wyatt has so much creative freedom to portray Vince on-screen in this fashion and taking such major digs on him!
