WWE RAW: 5 Massive surprises that could happen on Day 1 of the Paul Heyman regime

What changes could Paul Heyman bring to the red brand?
What changes could Paul Heyman bring to the red brand?

It was expected that Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff would begin their roles as Executive Directors of their respective brands from mid-July. But a leaked graphic from WWE indicates that they will start a brand new era from this week itself.

It also looks like they will become the faces of their respective brands as on-screen authority figures too. With that in mind, let us look at 5 surprises they could potentially book on this week's show.

We all know that the ratings for RAW and SmackDown Live have reached record lows in recent times and with the repeat success of AEW, this could be a worrying statistic. Luckily, Paul Heyman is one of the greatest minds in the history of the business, and he could help change RAW to make it an exciting show again.

Here are 5 surprises he could potentially book on this week's show.

#5 Paul Heyman chooses another client

In the latest WWE NEWS, Cedric Alexander was the face of 205 Live, putting on exceptional matches every time he stepped into the ring. And then he was called up to the main roster, and his incredible abilities were entirely forgotten. Someone like Paul Heyman is adept at discovering the best qualities about an individual and a performer and showcasing it to the world.

I would love to see Paul Heyman announce to the world that he'd chosen to take on yet another client because Brock Lesnar does not show up every single week to perform for the fans. And then to the shock of the WWE Universe, this guy could be Cedric Alexander.

Bear in mind that it was Paul Heyman who popularized the Cruiserweight style in the United States. Cedric Alexander would benefit immensely from Paul Heyman's microphone skills as well.

#4 He announces the end of the Wild Card rule

What I liked about the most recent brand split at the start is the competitiveness between the red and the blue brand culminating in big Survivor Series clashes. But since the most recent Superstar Shake-Up, it just seems like the brand split has been forgotten entirely. With two authority figures, I wonder if WWE may decide to make the brand split a thing again.

And if this were to happen, I suppose the Wild Card rule would have to come to an end. Because of the said rule, the same performers would appear on both brands leading to an overkill. Because of the said rule, performers like Liv Morgan haven't even been seen on television since the Superstar Shake-Up after WrestleMania 35.

#3 EC3 gets screen time to lash out at how he has been used thus far

Everyone had assumed that EC3, as good as he was on NXT, would become one of WWE's top stars in the main roster. Ever since he's come up to perform, he's been one of the most underutilized and sidelined characters, which is a real shame.

Paul Heyman was the man to give Stone Cold Steve Austin a voice and turn him into the character that he eventually turned out to be, as is commonly known. Could he do the same for EC3 as well, someone who's not had a chance to shine on RAW?

We all know just how good EC3 is on the microphone and we also know that if he gets a chance to cut a promo, he could kill it! We could see a glimpse of the real EC3 if he's given even a minute of mic time.

Heyman understands this...

#2 R-Truth accidentally runs into the Firefly Fun House

There are a few things that we know about Bray Wyatt's brand new gimmick. We know that the episodes of the Firefly Fun House are over and done with, based both on the fact that we didn't see any new episodes on this week's RAW and SmackDown Live, and also based on Bray Wyatt's riddle. He had indicated through his riddle that there would only be a certain number of episodes and that number's finally up.

We also know that his puppets have been making cameos on both shows. Thus far, we haven't seen any interactions between Wyatt and the members of the roster. This could change under the Heyman regime.

What if we were to see R-Truth, while running from his potential challengers, stumble onto the Firefly Fun House by accident. And then Bray Wyatt pins him to become the 24X7 Champion.

#1 Gallows and Anderson turn on Styles

A few things are clear at this point. AJ Styles believes that Gallows and Anderson are no longer the same focused unit that they used to be when they first came in from Japan and are only a shadow of their former selves right now.

Moreover, it is also clear that Styles and Ricochet will be locked in a feud going forward, with Gallows and Anderson playing a role on the outside. It is possible then that Gallows and Anderson turn on Styles for being so demeaning to them over the last few weeks on RAW?

They could, in time, form a new Club with someone like another US Title Contender. A name I can think of is Cesaro, someone who may need the Good Brothers by his side for their incredible microphone skills.

Then, the US title picture becomes more exciting than it ever was.
