Some major twists and turns could happen on WWE RAW this week
Some major twists and turns could happen on WWE RAW this week

The episodes of WWE RAW and SmackDown over this past week were disappointing, to say the least. Many fans expressed how underwhelmed they were when these two shows aired.

One has to assume that the creative team was exhausted after WrestleMania, in the light of which they phoned in these two episodes. Perhaps the new season will begin with this episode of WWE RAW, which will be packed with surprises galore.

So, no, these are not surprises that we know will happen, but rather ones we feel should happen. Chime in with your own thoughts on how RAW should play out and if you think the surprises listed here make sense.

Do you think that the overall WWE product has gone downhill since WrestleMania Night 1 aired?

#5 Mustafa Ali turns face on WWE RAW and aligns with Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre is outmatched when it comes to the heels gunning for him. It's not just MVP and Bobby Lashley on WWE RAW who are hot on his trail, but RETRIBUTION recently joined forces with MVP in the oddest sort of coalition. He will need backup and this could come from none other than Mustafa Ali.

WWE has always refused to go all the way with Mustafa Ali, whether it was as the SmackDown hacker or the leader of RETRIBUTION. That said, they might take the safe route on this occasion of just portraying him as a babyface, intent for revenge against some people he considered friends. Mustafa Ali and Drew McIntyre could be a powerhouse team going forward.

It is impossible to mess up a great talent like Mustafa Ali three times, and just a simple alliance with Drew McIntyre could be the best way to rehabilitate him.

#4 The Miz and Maryse conspire on WWE RAW to get rid of John Morrison

During WWE RAW last week, we saw the first signs of dissension between The Miz and John Morrison. Morrison felt like he was being left out of the mix and while the hints were subtle, it was clear they were headed for a split.

The split may be initiated by Maryse, who seems to have joined The Miz as his on-screen valet. On WWE RAW this week, she could pull the strings backstage in such a manner that The Miz and Morrison go their separate ways, possibly even allowing John Morrison to turn babyface.

There is immense potential for John Morrison to become a top babyface for the company and maybe even become a future WWE Champion at some point. If you caught his reign as the face of IMPACT Wrestling, you know that he would be a fantastic representative for the company.

Could we see the ultimate betrayal from The Miz and Maryse this week on WWE RAW? Could they take Morrison out?

#3 Keith Lee returns to WWE RAW and confronts the US Champion Sheamus

WWE RAW Superstar Sheamus captured the United States Championship on Night Two of WrestleMania when he took Riddle down and out. He will need a strong feud to maintain his momentum and it doesn't get bigger than a program with Keith Lee!

Last week on WWE RAW, people expected a lot many more returns and surprises than they were ultimately graced with, and sadly, Keith Lee wasn't one of the returning names. If you check his social media, you'll see that he's 'impatient Lee' waiting for a chance to return to action. Could he be back in the mix on WWE RAW this week when he slugs it out with Sheamus?

The showdown between Sheamus and Keith Lee will not be one where a lot of flips and dives are involved (even though Lee has been known to be aerial at times). No, fists will fly and bones will be shattered when two powerhouses go at it over the prestigious United States Championship.

#2 Alexa Bliss makes her return to wrestling on WWE RAW in a Lily mask

While WWE RAW Superstar Alexa Bliss has been part of a number of captivating segments recently, she has not been actively wrestling as much as she used to. Is she being re-set into something different altogether, being given a whole new character? We saw her introduce Lily on RAW last week. Could she return to action this week on RAW in a Lily mask?

In a sense, she would become the female version of The Fiend, where she switches back and forth with special effects to infuse fear into her opponent. Alexa Bliss made it very clear on RAW that she did not need The Fiend, that she realized she had powers of her own. Could she unleash them on WWE RAW this week?

Will we see Alexa Bliss and The Fiend break new ground when they launch into an inter-gender feud, making use of cinematic elements in the months and weeks that follow? Let us know in the comments below.

#1 We find out on WWE RAW that MVP has also hired Jinder Mahal to take Drew McIntyre out for good

Last week, WWE RAW ended with Drew McIntyre realizing that MVP had recruited two members of RETRIBUTION to do his bidding. Could he be privy to yet another nasty surprise on WWE RAW this week?

McIntyre has been very vocal about wanting to work with Jinder Mahal, his former friend from 3MB. He believes that there is a readymade story to be explored between the two and if you click on the video above, you can even hear what he has to say about a potential showdown with the Canadian-Indian star.

Here's what he had to say to Sportskeeda:

"We have so much real history and he is advertised to return. If you've seen on his social media, he's been posting pictures of how he looks right now. Physically he looks incredible. He's ready to get back. I've been working out with him. And you know he's just chomping at a bit."

Could we find out that MVP has now recruited Jinder Mahal?
