WWE RAW: 5 Reasons why Becky Lynch was missing for the second consecutive week

Original advertisements for this week's episode of Monday Night Raw saw Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair team together to take on The Kabuki Warriors for the Women's Tag Team Championships in Nashville. Fans who watched this week's episode will have noticed that Charlotte Flair was forced to take on Kairi Sane and Asuka in a handicap match since Lynch wasn't part of tonight's show until the camera's finished rolling.

The Raw Women's Champion has been missing for two weeks now, since she last appeared on Raw the week ahead of Survivor Series, and there has been no explanation when it comes to her whereabouts.

There are many plausible reasons for Lynch's recent absence from Monday Night Raw and here are just five of them.

#5 Becky Lynch is taking some much needed time off

Lynch recently became the longest-reigning Raw Women's Champion since the title was introduced, and over the past few months, she has been in the main event of Survivor Series and on the cover of 2K20, which means that she has been quite a busy person both on and off-screen.

Lynch was an interesting missing person from the SmackDown ahead of Survivor Series, and other than Starrcade, she hasn't actually been seen since the main event of WWE's penultimate show of the year.

Lynch does have a lot on her plate and since both Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss have requested time off recently and been granted it. Lynch could have asked for some time to decompress to prevent her from being burnt out but the company has had to plan her time off around quite a hectic schedule.

It's entirely feasible that Lynch will be back on Raw next week after a much-needed rest.

#4 Could Lynch be unhappy about being in the Tag Team Championship picture?

Is Lynch unhappy with the fact that she has been demoted to the Tag Team Division?

Becky Lynch is the Raw Women's Champion at present and is only in the Tag Team Championship picture because Natalya wasn't part of Raw in the United Kingdom a few weeks ago, so Lynch took her place.

Originally, reports suggested that the Raw Women's Champion would step into a feud with Asuka or Kairi Sane in the coming weeks. But this was instead turned into a Tag Team Championship feud with the Kabuki Warriors that also included Charlotte.

Lynch can't be happy about the fact that she's been demoted to this title scene since she has just main evented Survivor Series but actually lost the match.

It seems like a strange situation surrounding the Champion at present, but given the fact that she was part of Starrcade on Sunday night, she obviously doesn't have that much of an issue with her current booking.

She hasn't been a part of Friday Night SmackDown or Monday Night Raw, which is interesting since Lynch and Charlotte reportedly have a title match at TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs next weekend.

#3 Leading to a feud between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch?

Are Charlotte and Becky going to go to war one more time?
Are Charlotte and Becky going to go to war one more time?

Right now, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch look as though they are on the same page, as they have been teaming together recently. But it's obvious that despite putting on her current persona, Flair is eyeing her 11th Women's Championship reign.

Whilst the WWE Universe are reading rumors about Lynch feuding with Asuka in the coming weeks, WWE could instead be laying down the foundations for Flair to turn heel once again at TLC, when she and Lynch are unsuccessful in claiming the titles.

Lynch has left Flair on her own tonight on Raw, which allowed her to be pinned by Kairi Sane after The InSane Elbow. Flair put up a good fight but was unable to defeat the two women in the handicap match that she asked for.

It was made clear that this match should have been a tag team match and Flair was left in the lurch, so will she react in the only way she knows and take out her aggression on Lynch at TLC? Could this be the next big Raw Women's Championship feud heading into the 2020 Royal Rumble?

#2 Is Becky Lynch in hot water?

Is Becky Lynch actually in trouble with the company's creative team?
Is Becky Lynch actually in trouble with the company's creative team?

Becky Lynch is the longest-reigning Raw Women's Champion in history, something that she Tweeted about earlier this week, and also took a shot at creative in the process. The Man stated that she had broken Ronda Rousey's record before stating that as the Raw Women's Champion she was happy to be in the tag team Championship picture.

This was obviously sarcasm from the Irish star since there are no real challengers for her title at present. It's interesting to note that even though Lynch wasn't on Raw, she was part of the show after Raw went off the air, which shows that she was in the arena, but she wasn't actually used as part of the show.

Could this mean that she's intentionally being kept off Raw as punishment for Tweeting out against WWE's creative team? The Tweet is still on her Twitter account so she hasn't been asked to remove it, but sometimes WWE doesn't ask their stars to remove the Tweets that they deem to be offensive.

Either way, it's an odd situation for the Raw Women's Champion at present.

#1 Is Becky Lynch being kept off TV so that Seth Rollins can turn heel?

Are WWE trying to keep Becky Lynch off TV?
Are WWE trying to keep Becky Lynch off TV?

Seth Rollins has been slowly turning heel on Monday Night Raw over the past few weeks, but it wouldn't be possible for him to do so with Lynch as part of the show. Last week when Rollins was talking to the Raw locker room to tell them that they sucked at Survivor Series, Lynch wasn't at ringside even though she lost the main event match to Shayna Baszler.

It could be that this is the design that WWE has gone for since Lynch would have reacted if Rollins had targeted her following her loss, so it was easier for him to go after Charlotte. This week on Raw, his heel turn tease continued, and since the WWE Universe are aware of their relationship, many fans would expect Lynch to step in and turn him back.

This happened when Johnny Gargano turned heel, which put Candice LeRae in an awkward position and since WWE saw what happened her, they could have decided to handle the situation differently with Rollins. And now when Lynch does return to Raw in the future, she will return to a very different Seth Rollins.
