WWE RAW: 5 Reasons why The Fiend attacked Braun Strowman

No one is safe!
No one is safe!

With less than two weeks remaining for the Hell in a Cell PPV, Monday Night RAW came live to us from the Chase Center in San Francisco, California. While it was not as good as last week's exceptional show, it still had some crucial storyline developments and must-see segments.

The closing moments of tonight's RAW saw The Fiend, Bray Wyatt, interrupt the main event between the Universal Champion Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman. The demented version of Bray Wyatt then went on to take out his former ally Strowman, ending a second consecutive RAW by attacking a Superstar in front of Rollins.

The Fiend is quickly becoming the biggest fan-favorite in WWE, as clearly visible by the reaction of the crowd when the lights go out every time. Who can stop him? No one seems to be anywhere close to doing that right now.

As for now, let's take a look at the five interesting reasons why The Fiend made Braun Strowman his latest victim. I invite you all to comment down your thoughts and views about the same.

#5 Strowman mocked Wyatt in the opening segment

Monday Night RAW was opened tonight by the Universal Champion, Seth Rollins who came down to the ring to address his rivalry with Bray Wyatt and how he will find a way to overcome him.

He was interrupted by The Monster Among Men who advised Rollins not to talk behind his back about him. Strowman then went on to mock Bray Wyatt, calling him "Psycho Mr. Rogers" who plays silly mind games with his opponents.

Well, how can you comment like that about the Fiend and expect yourself to get away with it? As mentioned by Bray Wyatt many times - "The Fiend never forgets".

Interestingly, one could hear Strowman shouting "Where are you?" when the lights went off during the main event, thus falling victim to his own comments of mocking Wyatt's mind games.

#4 To continue scaring Seth Rollins

In his opening promo, the Universal Champion, Seth Rollins was quite humble to accept that he was indeed scared from the demonic entity, we all know as The Fiend.

Referring to last week's incidence of The Fiend attacking Kane and then going on to stare him in the most horrific way possible, Rollins mentioned how helpless he was, as he just closed his eyes and hoped this nightmare to end soon. Wow! When was the last time we saw such a terrorizing Superstar in WWE, or even the entire pro wrestling scene?

Tonight was no different as The Fiend went on to apply the Mandible Claw on Braun Strowman and then turned his attention towards Rollins, who almost looked like a kid hiding under his bed, trying to avoid any contact from the evil spirit.

Props to Rollins for screaming his hearts out when the Fiend came near him, as that made the segment more believable and established Wyatt as a true force to fear from. Wyatt indeed has become scarier than ever before, and one has to wonder how will The Beastslayer survive inside Hell in a Cell against him? The era of the Fiend is about to start!

#3 Putting an end to the talks of a Wyatt Family reunion

Ever since Bray Wyatt returned to the scene after WrestleMania 35 in this completely new character, the internet has been full of rumors and talks about him bringing back the Wyatt Family in some way.

Some theories suggested the puppets - Mercy the Buzzard, Abby the Witch, Rambling Rabbit, and Huskus the Pig Boy, to be revealed as the new members of the Wyatt family, while others suggested Bray somehow convincing his former followers to "let him in".

Well, all those talks about a reunion were put to an end by Wyatt tonight as The Fiend went on to attack the "Black Sheep" of the Wyatt Family, Braun Strowman. With this, The Monster Among Men became the first former member of the faction to be attacked by The Fiend, giving out a major statement that Bray has left his past behind.

It was Wyatt who introduced Braun Strowman to the world when he debuted in 2015 as the fourth member of the Wyatt Family, but the brand split resulted in him getting separated from the group. He in some way betrayed his master by not following him, so it made perfect sense for the Fiend to attack the one who "hurt" Wyatt in the past.

#2 The Fiend wants to protect Seth Rollins?

WWE has advertised a new episode of the Firefly Funhouse for this week's RAW, and fans were excited to see what does Bray Wyatt have in store for us in this latest edition. The episode saw Rambling Rabbit and Huskus the Pig Boy fighting over an action figure of Seth Rollins.

The two then went on to mention how they are huge fans of Rollins and how much they love him. Rambling Rabbit then went on to innocently tell Wyatt that they didn't want The Fiend to hurt Seth Rollins. To this, Bray gave a very interesting response - "Well, maybe The Fiend wants to protect Seth Rollins!"

As has been the case with the many previous statements of Wyatt, this one sentence might have a deeper meaning than what one can understand on the first go.

In the main event of RAW tonight, just when Strowman was looking to finish Rollins, The Fiend interrupted the proceedings and took out the Monster Among Men. In some ways, he did protect Rollins from getting destroyed. So does The Fiend really wants to protect Seth Rollins?

Or is it the next statement that Wyatt made during Firefly Funhouse this week, which is...

#1 "He doesn't like to share"

As mentioned in the last slide, Bray Wyatt made an interesting comment about The Fiend wanting to protect Seth Rollins, but the next statement was even more interesting as he claimed that The Fiend doesn't like to share.

He then went on to advice Rambling Rabbit and Huskus the Pig Boy to share the action figure of Rollins, breaking it in two halves. Talk about playing mind games, huh?

Was Bray talking about how The Fiend does not like to share his victim/target? If that is the case, then his attack on Strowman tonight makes complete sense. The Monster Among Men was close to finishing Rollins before the Fiend made the save, ensuring that only he can "hurt" Rollins.

As creepy as it may sound, this sick mentality is what makes Bray Wyatt's character as interesting and horrifying as it is. This can also be an indication that The Fiend might interrupt next week's Universal Championship match between Rollins and the winner of tonight's Fatal five-way match, Rey Mysterio.

In the video below, you can check out the Fiend attempting to attack Rollins after RAW went off the air, justifying the theory of "He doesn't like to share".
