Could we see some major twists and turns on WWE RAW?
Could we see some major twists and turns on WWE RAW?

WWE RAW next week needs to be one that is filled with surprises galore because everyone may be in the festive spirit and nobody may really be in the mood to catch the show live.

And this is where Vince McMahon must ensure that he ends the year 2020, one that has had many more negatives than positives, on a good note.

So, here are 5 surprises that could potentially happen on WWE RAW next week, and you are welcome to share your thoughts and views about the same in the comments below.

#5 Sheamus turns on Drew McIntyre, his best friend, on WWE RAW next week

Sheamus and Keith Lee are obviously not on the same page at the moment, and Drew McIntyre, who is friends with both men, is caught somewhere in the middle of it all, as the WWE Universe waits for one of the two men to turn heel.

Now that he has comprehensively defeated AJ Styles, Drew McIntyre awaits his next big WWE RAW Challenger, and it could come in the form of either Sheamus or Keith Lee next week.

It is more likely to be Sheamus than Keith Lee, especially if you consider that one of these two men is a natural heel.

Also, because Keith Lee is being sent to the WWE Performance Center, Vince McMahon may be apprehensive about putting him in a major angle right away.

Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre may be a predictable feud when it comes to the eventual outcome, but so was AJ Styles vs. Drew McIntyre, and that turned out to be a pretty fun feud overall.

Plus, there is a storyline in place and both of these sluggers could have a very different match from the Drew McIntyre matches we've seen thus far during his Championship reign.

#4 Charlotte Flair turns on Asuka on WWE RAW, challenging her for the singles gold she currently holds

Even though Charlotte Flair came back at TLC as a babyface, taking on the heinous heels, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, nobody's buying it. We know that she's only allied with the WWE RAW Women's Champion, Asuka, to turn on her at some point down the line.

There is no better time for such a swerve than WWE RAW next week. Because it is the final episode of WWE RAW this year, WWE could end the show with a massive cliffhanger, with the audience gasping as Charlotte Flair turns heel again.

In this manner, Charlotte Flair could go after Asuka and the WWE RAW Women's Championship, and the Tag Team Championships can be held by the actual teams in the current roster.

Charlotte Flair, much like Sheamus, just feels a tad off when she's playing a babyface. She is a natural heel, much like Ric Flair or even Randy Orton or The Miz, and should tap into her darker side very soon.

#3 Peyton Royce turns on Lacey Evans on WWE RAW, becoming a babyface in the process

In one of the weirdest moves of the year 2020, The IIconics were split up, but Peyton Royce was paired with WWE RAW star Lacey Evans quite randomly. The two are obviously not on the same page, be it in real life or on the WWE RAW brand as a tag team unit and that is the story that is playing out on our television screens as well.

Could Peyton Royce snap at Lacey Evans next week, turning babyface in the process, especially if Evans gives Royce hell for coming out on the losing end during her WWE RAW match this week? Royce is obviously being groomed to become a breakout star and going babyface may be the first step towards the objective.

Peyton Royce is a great worker and a good promo and there is definite babyface potential in her if this is the road WWE decides to go down next week. Plus, a feud with Lacey Evans will help both WWE RAW Superstars.

#2 The Riott Squad shows up on WWE RAW, to take on Asuka and Charlotte Flair

The world was stunned when WWE RAW Women's Champion, Asuka teamed up with Charlotte Flair at TLC to become the brand new WWE Women's Tag Team Champion. What we do know is that while both women are a part of the WWE RAW Women's Division, these titles allow them to travel to just about any brand, be it SmackDown or even WWE NXT. In fact, if you've checked out the WWE SmackDown spoilers this week, you may know that something major is in the works with these two women.

Could The Riott Squad show up on WWE RAW next week and challenge the newly crowned Champions, to a massive showdown at the Royal Rumble?

The women could travel back and forth between the WWE RAW and SmackDown brands in the build to the upcoming match, infusing a sense of excitement into the overall proceedings. Asuka and Charlotte Flair are pretty much going to be transitional Champions anyway, judging from how things stand right now.

#1 The Miz states why he should still be Mr. Money in the Bank and WWE RAW management complies

Do check out SK Wrestling's exclusive with WWE RAW star, The Miz in the video shared above, ladies, and gentlemen, and you'll note that he's not nearly the annoying star that he pretends to be while he's in character.

Did you catch how The Miz stated that he should still be Mr. Money in the Bank on WWE RAW this week, considering that it was John Morrison that cashed in? Could Adam Pearce comply with his request and ensure that The Miz becomes Mr. Money in the Bank once again?

This could be a pretty nice swerve, in line with something that a sneaky heel like The Miz would do, so it's not the worst thing in the world. Plus, it will ensure that the Money in the Bank contract isn't wasted, based on what transpired at TLC.

It's hard to imagine The Miz as WWE Champion at this point in time, but this is a swerve WWE could be working towards for sure.
