RAW was, for a change, a pretty fun and eventful show in every sense. It seems like the chaos that surrounded the draft had finally settled down, and that we will be in for some entertaining Paul Heyman booked programming in the weeks to follow.

The man in the Street Profits' corner, when they made their RAW debut was kept a surprise until the very last minute. Even halfway through the match, we had no clue as to who the man could potentially be.

And then, out of the blue, we found out that it was Kevin Owens who strode to the ring as only he can, inserting himself into the thick of things. A stunner followed as the crowd egged their favorite on.

So why was Kevin Owens chosen ahead of everyone else to fill this spot and to align himself with The Street Profits on RAW?

#5 Can lead to some very interesting and hilarious backstage skits

As we know from the backstage skits that we've already seen, leading up the Street Profits debuting on RAW, the two men have a great sense of humor. And they can also play this humor off WWE Hall of Famers like Kurt Angle and make for some fantastic segments, that can do wonders for their characters. If there's one thing to be said for Kevin Owens, he's probably the funniest man in all of WWE.

We know that he's lamented in the past that his run in the New Day came to an end prematurely because he was turned heel. But now he has a chance to showcase his comedic side as part of a trio if Paul Heyman is planning to book these men as a long term act.

It will be a shame if they're not booked as a trio. Knowing WWE's love for 6-man tag team matches, they probably will!

#4 To ignite a feud for the US Championship

The most important thing to remember is that a Champion is only as strong as the opponents that he faces. Shinsuke Nakamura's reign was largely forgotten when he was feuding against Ali, but now with Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan inserted in the mix, it is relevant once again. In the very same manner, AJ Styles also needs strong opponents to remain a relevant Champion, in my opinion.

Kevin Owens is perfect as the protagonist with Styles as the heel Champion. He is a great worker, he can tell fantastic stories both in the ring and on the microphone, and he also has great history with Styles. The two men can work a thousand matches across the world and each one of them will be an instant classic, for sure.

Moreover, both men can also engage in a promo battle that is real and very personal indeed.

#3 Giving the rub to a young team

Why do you think Seth Rollins put on such a great competitive match with Humberto Carillo on RAW this week? The answer is simple- because there's a tradition in pro wrestling where the established veteran gives the young upstart the rub.

This has been happening ever since the time the business picked up and became a part of the fabric of America, and then, the world. Harley Race gave the rub to Ric Flair, Flair did the honors for Sting, and Sting would, in time, do the same for quite a few people in TNA.

Kevin Owens is an established star, who is a worldwide name because of his stint in the main roster of both brands. The Street Profits are on the way there but aren't quite there yet.

But the association certainly helps in audience perception, building up The Street Profits as viable top guys!

#2 Carrying the babyface momentum from the Shane McMahon program

Kevin Owens has been out of the title picture for a while now, but he was still involved in what was one of the hottest programs on SmackDown Live, with Shane McMahon. In fact, he is the man who sent Shane McMahon packing in what was the premiere of SmackDown on Friday Nights. After he did that, he became one of the top babyfaces in the blue brand, something that had been happening for a while, from the time he cut a passionate promo on McMahon.

Owens is always the common man, someone who fights against all odds, and The OC has been bullying their way in the backstage area over the past few weeks. It was only natural that Owens would come and take on their tyranny, establishing himself as the second top babyface after Seth Rollins. This was a great start for him.

#1 Ending the show with a stunner

I mean it is no surprise that sports entertainment was never hotter than when Stone Cold Steve Austin was at his peak, closing the show with a Stunner, drinking beer and celebrating with the audience that was in attendance. Kevin Owens is the closest thing to a PG version of Stone Cold Steve Austin, with due respect to 'The Man'.

This was Kevin Owens' first night on RAW since the draft and WWE wanted to end the night on a high note. And there is no better way to end the show than with a move that is synonymous with quality wrestling.

Kevin Owens delivered a Stunner on the outside, and while the sell wasn't all that impressive, I'm guessing that AJ Styles was chosen for the role because he can sell better than anyone in the roster. A great night ended on a massive high.

The Street Profits partied with the audience, not as Steve Austin did, but as only they can!
