In today's roundup, we take a look at some interesting backstage news regarding Kevin Owens's future with WWE, a new weekly studio show, the UFA legend Goldberg wants to fight and more!

Big Cass set for WWE return?

Over a year after Big Cass was released by WWE, it looks like the company is planning to re-sign him very soon. All that is according to the former Superstar himself.

He was talking to Wrestling Inc when he revealed that talks between him and WWE are going on and he could even get a call tomorrow. he said:

“Yes, [WWE and I] have been in contact. I talk to them. Who knows what will happen? I could get a call tomorrow, so I've been in contact with them and we chat on a regular basis. But nothing is concrete yet, so we'll see what happens.”

A few days back, rumors spread that WWE were looking to bring back Enzo Amore and Big Cass to lead NXT when it moves to the USA network. However, the company straight away put an end to it by releasing a statement that there was ‘zero interest’ in getting them back.

Cass is now open to returning to WWE, even if it is without Enzo. He said:

[Signing as a singles wrestler] is definitely something I would consider. Anything me and Enzo do together is just a privilege for both of us, but I know if he got a call from somebody and they said, 'We just want you,' I'd give him my blessing. And I know that if I got my call from somewhere, he'd say, 'I'm going to give you my blessing.'
And I think that if I get a deal with any wrestling company, or entertainment, or anything like that, he'd be right in my corner.

Goldberg wants to wrestle UFC legend

Cain Velasquez has switched from UFC to pro-wrestling and it looks like a legend is already looking to fight him. Goldberg told Helen Yee Sports that the UFC legend has a lot of potential but he would smash him in two seconds. He said:

“I’d still smash him in the ring. I’d wrestle Cain in the ring in two seconds. I’d wrestle anybody. You know who I am. He's got a lot of potential and it's really cool."

A WWE WrestleMania match in the making? Only time will tell...

Renee Young and Booker T to host a weekly show?

SmackDown Live will be moving to the FOX Network next month and rumors suggest that they will be having a talk show either before or after the Blue brand puts on a show. CM Punk was linked with the co-host role but it looks like Booker T has bagged it.

Renee Young was said to be the host of the show from the very start and now WrestleVotes suggest the show will air from Los Angeles, every Tuesday night.

With Renee moving to the talk show, she is bound to be replaced on the Monday Night RAW commentary team soon. A shuffle among the announcers is also said to be taking place and Cory Graves, who does commentary on both RAW and SmackDown Live, will be only on one of them from now on.

Fresh faces might be added to the team soon but this talk show might just have Renee and Booker T talking to former Superstars or the ones who aren't on the show.

Backstage details on Kevin Owens' future with the company

KO on NXT?
KO on NXT?

Kevin Owens was fired on SmackDown Live by Shane McMahon after the Best in the World lost to Chad Gable in the King of the Ring tournament semi-final. The former NXT champion was the referee in that match and the result was not well received by the SmackDown Live commissioner.

Owens then hinted at a move to NXT on Twitter and that might just be what is about to happen. Cageside Seats report:

“Kevin Owens may be teasing going to NXT, and there’s apparently been talk of an appearance on the debut show while he’s “fired” from SmackDown Live.”

NXT moves to the USA Network next week and will become a 2-hour live show. The brand needs to more Superstars on the roster and KO might be the first big name to make a move.

More stars are expected to be shuffled when the WWE Draft takes place next month and it will be interesting to see if Owens is moved to Monday Night RAW then.
