Update on Sasha Banks' WWE future
Sasha Banks has been the talk of the town for some time now and ever since she went on a hiatus after WrestleMania, she has been the most talked-about star. While many reported that she was on her way out, it was Tom Colohue who said that she was only on a break and would be returning soon.
Now, reports suggest that she has signed a new deal with the company and is set to stay for the foreseeable future. Fightful Select reported:
Fightful Select was informed by a source on Friday afternoon that former WWE Raw Women's Champion Sasha Banks had extended her WWE deal. The tip was later confirmed by another high-level name within the company, and noted that the agreement was reached upon her return to WWE.
If reports are true, this will be the 2nd contract she has signed in the last year or so. She had reportedly signed one in 2018 as well.
Paige set to return to WWE TV
PWInsider have reported that Paige is set to return to WWE TV very soon. The former Divas champion was not on TV for a while as she had taken time off for her neck surgery.
The return of Paige will also see the return of The Kabuki Warriors as she is their manager. Both Asuka and Kairi Sane have also been missing and have not been a part of any storyline for some time.
They are expected to return in time for the WWE Draft, if not the season premiere next week.
Brock Lesnar to become the next Goldberg
Paul Heyman is now in charge of Monday Night RAW and the show has slowly and steadily picked up. The advocate of Brock Lesnar is now planning on making the show even better and has picked the next Superstar to play the Goldberg role.
The ‘Goldberg role’ is when a Superstar makes a return just to destroy someone. Heyman has now picked his client, Lesnar, to play that role. He reportedly feels that the former WCW star is too old for the show now.

Heyman wants Goldberg as an occasional character who comes in and destroys people, as the old legend, somewhat reminiscent of the role Bruno Sammartino played when Bob Backlund was champion. Long-term the idea would be Goldberg in that role for several more years, and eventually that role would go to Lesnar
Lesnar is now set to face Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship on the Friday Night SmackDown premiere on the FOX Network.
Vince McMahon got The King back on Monday Night RAW commentary
Monday Night RAW's season premiere next week will witness a lot of changes. The logo, set and many other things will be changing, while we will also witness the return of pyro and lasers.
The commentary team is also set to undergo a change with Corey Graves, Renee Young and Michael Cole being replaced by Vic Joseph, Dio Maddin and Jerry Lawler. While Renee is moving to host her own show called WWE Backstage on FOX, Corey and Cole are heading for the Friday Night SmackDown commentary team.
The King revealed to Memphis Commercial Appeal that it was Vince McMahon who made the decision to bring him back to RAW. he said:
It was Paul [Heyman's] idea to put Vic and Dio on Raw. Apparently, what I was told, Vince [McMahon] said, 'You can't throw these two new, young guys on our flagship show. Call King.' That's how it happened.
John Morrison not returning to WWE?
Earlier this week, reports suggested that John Morrison has re-signed with WWE. The former Intercontinental champion was expected to make his return to the ring very soon, and the WWE Universe was excited about it.
However, Morrison has now taken to Twitter to rebuff the claims. He sarcastically replied to the original source's tweet and asked them to inform him when he signed with All Elite Wrestling or Ring of Honor.
This is a clear hint that Morrison has not signed a deal with WWE and could end up elsewhere. AEW are still looking to fill their roster and the fact that he has mentioned them in the tweet could lead to speculations that he is joining them.
However, several other reports also suggest that Morrison has indeed signed with WWE and the tweet could just be a way to put the fans off guard before he makes his in-ring return in WWE.
Edge quits E&C Podcast
Edge has confirmed that he will no longer be a part of the E&C Podcast. E&C's Pod of Awesomeness was run by Edge and Christian and with the departure of the former, it looks like the show will have a name change or maybe even stop completely.
Talking on the latest episode of the podcast, Edge said: “As much as it sounds like, ‘Well, how can you not squeeze that [a podcast] in?’, there’s more to it than what you hear of us flapping our gums. There’s the logistics of it – separate schedules, different places, guests, things like that. It just ended up being one of those deals where it’s kind of hard to navigate for me right now. This will be my last episode of the E&C Pod of Awesomeness, but stay tuned because the ‘C’ man... We never know what he’s going to do, folks.”
Edge was forced to retire a few years ago and was not allowed to take bumps as well. However, he did return at SummerSlam this year and delivered a spear to Elias to stun the WWE Universe.
