WWE is a busy place, and with the Sports Entertainment juggernaut now having shows and Live events almost every day of the week, it can be hard to keep up with the day-to-day happenings in the company.

With the biggest party of the summer, SummerSlam, now behind them, the company will be gearing up to its next big Pay-Per-View, Clash of Champions, which will see titles defended as well as the new King of the Ring be crowned, though the company will also have to prepare for huge shows inside MSG next month and the move from SmackDown to FS1 in October.

Here are five WWE rumours from this week you really need to know about.

Note: It should be noted that these rumors are just that, rumors. Though some may seem more likely than others, each one should be taken with a pinch of salt, as something to have fun with.

#5 What the NXT move means for the Superstars

The move could be big news for the wallets of the NXT Superstars.
The move could be big news for the wallets of the NXT Superstars.

In just a few weeks, WWE will undergo a major change, when they extend their popular developmental brand NXT to two hours, and move it to the USA Network.

This has left many fans speculating what the future holds for the Yellow Brand, and though we don't know those answers, rumors suggest that this is a huge thing for everyone involved.

According to Dave Meltzer who spoke on Wrestling Observer Radio, the USA Network is paying WWE $60 million to air NXT for the next two years.

This has had a major ripple effect on the entire show, according to Meltzer, as he also reported that there have been talks of paying the NXT Superstars much higher now that the show is on the USA Network.

#4 Reason why The Undertaker is appearing next month

The Deadman will appear at SmackDown Live mext month inside the World's Most Famous Arena.

There are few stars more legendary than The Undertaker. For nearly 30 years, the Phenom has forged a career of World Championships, high-profile feuds and death-defying matches that have made him a bonafide future Hall of Famer.

Next week, the Deadman will return to WWE for the first time since Extreme Rules, when he appears on the September 10th edition of SmackDown Live, which will take place inside the world's most famous arena: Madison Square Garden.

With a huge star like the Deadman being announced, many have speculated that the reason he is appearing is in response to the company's shrinking crowds, and though WWE has had a problem filling arenas, that apparently isn't the reason.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Undertaker's appearance was organised well in advance, and is not a response to the company's slow ticket sales for the Garden.

Regardless of the reason why, it's always a delight to see the Deadman, and fans will get to see him both on September 2, and October 4, when the show moves to FS1.

#3 Real reason for Dominick skipping NXT

Dominick appeared on RAW earlier this year during his father's feud with Samoa Joe.
Dominick appeared on RAW earlier this year during his father's feud with Samoa Joe.

Rey Mysterio is considered one of WWE's most beloved stars of all time, holding three World titles over his career, as well as the Grand Slam and the 2006 Royal Rumble winner.

But this year, Mysterio's son Dominick was the one grabbing headlines, as the 21-year-old started appearing with his father during Rey's feud with Samoa Joe.

According to rumors, the plan is for Dominick to enter the WWE's roster in 2020, though is unlikely to join as part of NXT, as the company believes having Dominick enter as part of a storyline with his father is the best course of action.

This week, a report by our very own Tom Colohue gave more details on this, citing that the developmental brand's move to the USA Network could also be a factor behind this decision.

According to the report, with NXT being moved to TV, WWE is seeing the yellow brand as less of a development place for the next generation of Superstars for RAW and SmackDown Live, and more as it's own separate brand, with its own set of characters.

#2 More NXT TakeOver events to come?

2019 has been a hectic year for WWE, and one of the biggest stories to come over the past eight months revolves around the company's developmental brand: NXT.

Earlier this month, WWE announced that NXT will be moving to the USA Network next month, and will also be stretched to two hours long.

This news has definitely been a controversial topic for fans, with many accusing the company of making the change as a direct response to All Elite Wrestling, who will be launching their own TV show on Wednesdays on October 2.

According to Wrestle Votes, it is highly possible that WWE could be adding more NXT TakeOver events in 2020, with a tweet suggesting the company could have six over next year.

The tweet did indicate that finding space for another TakeOver event could be difficult, as the current schedule has January, WrestleMania weekend, June, SummerSlam weekend and November already booked.

If WWE were to add a sixth TakeOver to the schedule, there's no telling when on the calendar the new should would be placed.

#1 Intercontinental Title match planned for Clash of Champions

The A-Lister could be facing the King of Strong Style for the title.
The A-Lister could be facing the King of Strong Style for the title.

Since capturing the Intercontinental Championship from Finn Balor on the Extreme Rules kick-off show, the reign of Shinsuke Nakamura hasn't exactly set the world on fire.

Much like his United States title reigns of last year and early this year, the King of Strong Style has done relatively little since capturing the gold, being lost in the shuffle.

That could change very soon though, as according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Nakamura is set to defend his gold against something who knows plenty about the Intercontinental Championship: The Miz.

Miz, an eight-time IC Champion in his own right, was recently attacked on SmackDown Live by the Japanese Superstar, who also formed an alliance with Sami Zayn during the programme.

The A-Lister last held the title at WrestleMania 34, and though he briefly captured the SmackDown Tag Titles with Shane McMahon earlier this year, it has been over a year since Miz held singles gold.

There's no doubt that the former World Champion will be hoping to change this if he does get an IC title match at Clash of Champions.
