With Royal Rumble right around the corner, WWE is gearing up to make the show a spectacular one and rumors suggest that not only will Brock Lesnar be a part of it but he will also be returning in early 2020.

We will also talk about WWE's major plans for 3 RAW Superstars and Matt Hardy praising AEW among other things.

#6 Brock Lesnar to return in early 2020

The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar will be making his return to WWE in early 2020 as per the latest report from Wrestling Observer. The current WWE Champion has been missing from action since Survivor Series where he had successfully defended his Championship against Rey Mysterio.

There have been reports suggesting that Kevin Owens or Randy Orton are being considered to take on the WWE Champion at the upcoming Royal Rumble PPV. (H/T: Sportskeeda)

Lesnar has only defended his WWE Championship twice after he won it from Kofi Kingston - against Cain Velasquez at Crown Jewel and Rey Mysterio at Survivor Series. While we certainly hope that Lesnar makes his return soon, it will be interesting to see who The Beast Incarnate will start a program with when he does come back.

#5 Former WWE Superstar talks about John Cena breaking his ribs

Former WWE Superstar Gene Snitsky recently spoke to Hannibal TV about the time when John Cena had broken his ribs during a Lumberjack match in 2005.

It depends on who you ask. It’s cool wrestling John, I’ve wrestled him a bunch of times. He actually broke my ribs. He did that side slam out of the corner, and all 250 pounds came down right on my rib. I still have the little calcification on my ribs. I always joke around with people, “Feel that!” They’re like, “Oh my God,” and I’m like, “Yeah, John Cena did that.” It’s funny. John’s a good guy. (H/T: Sportskeeda)

#4 Major push planned for Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe has been serving as a commentator on RAW for the past couple of weeks owing to his broken thumb. However, reports are now stating that Joe's hand is healed up and we can expect him to make a comeback soon.

It is also being stated that a major push can be expected for the Samoan Submission Machine when he does return. Here is what Cagesideseats has reported:

Samoa Joe is expected to get a big push upon his return to the ring, which will be any time now.

Given his altercation with Seth Rollins and The AOP this past RAW, it is clear that Samoa Joe will be itching to take his revenge next week.

#3 Matt Hardy talks about Cody

Former ECW Champion Matt Hardy was asked on Twitter what he thinks of Cody, and the Broken One gave a rather interesting reply. Hardy insinuated that Cody has done a great job with AEW.

Always got along well with him. Very talented performer. The waves that he’s been able to make with Bucks/Omega/Khan are impressive & remarkable. Kudos to him for helping to make pro wrestling a healthier industry.

Could we see Matt Hardy in AEW after his contract expires in 2020? Only time will tell.

#2 Seth Rollins speaks about Jon Moxley's exit

The Architect Seth Rollins has had a tremendous year. From being the biggest babyface to the most hated heel, Rollins has truly come a full circle.

The former Shield member opened up about how he feels about Jon Moxley FKA Dean Ambrose leaving WWE early this year. The former WWE Champion spoke about why he felt his former Shield brother's exit might have been a good thing:

There was certainly a bittersweet nature to it. You hate to see him go. Someone that you’ve been through so much with in Ambrose over the course of your career in WWE, but I think it was almost necessary for all of us to move on from The Shield, in a way.
Knowing that that era [The Shield] was done for good, it was easy to focus on just being Seth Rollins and easy for Roman to focus on just being Roman Reigns, and we could really step forward and take our singles careers to the next level (H/T: Sportskeeda)

While Seth Rollins is currently on RAW, Roman Reigns is an integral part of SmackDown wheras Moxley is making huge waves as part of the AEW team.

#1 Plans for Aleister Black and Buddy Murphy

Aleister Black and Buddy Murphy have been involved in an interesting rivalry over the past few weeks. The two tore up the house during their match at TLC and will be facing each other yet again next week on RAW.

Dave Meltzer revealed on Wrestling Observer Radio, why the chances of Murphy and Black forming a tag team are very low.

I think the plan long-term is for Buddy Murphy to be a big heel and Aleister Black to be a big babyface. So I don’t think they are going to be in a tag team anytime soon and both be singles stars. That’s the idea, you know it will probably get, I don’t want to say probably, there is always the chance, no matter what the plan is it gets derailed. It’s pretty high percentage when it comes to new stars, things get derailed. You know, way too high a percentage. It will be interesting to see if Vince green lights it or Vince gets bored with it. (H/T: Sportskeeda)

While Black is a former NXT Champion, Buddy Murphy is a former Cruiserweight Champion. It will be interesting to see where this rivalry leads in the coming weeks.
