We are just two days away from the Clash of Champions PPV, which is set to be an exciting show! In today's WWE Rumor Roundup, we take a look at a few exclusive Sportskeeda stories about Bray Wyatt's return and the status of The Revival in WWE.

We also bring you news about an error that WWE made in their trademark filings, the favorites to win at Clash of Champions, and more.

Let's take a look at the rumor roundup from 13 September 2019:

#1 Why Bray Wyatt returned early

One of the most eagerly awaited feuds in WWE is the one between current Universal Champion Seth Rollins, and The Fiend, Bray Wyatt, with WWE advertising a match between the two for Hell in a Cell.

According to Sportskeeda's very own Tom Colohue, Wyatt was not supposed to return so early to WWE and that WWE's creative team did not want Wyatt to be on WWE television so many times.

Here's what Colohue said about Wyatt's Hell in a Cell match, “From what I can tell, Bray Wyatt was supposed to spend quite a bit of time at home, chilling out, making plans, not being particularly visible. Unfortunately, with the news coming out [advertisements for Hell In A Cell], he has had to be visible. They’ve used him to try to build towards this match."

Wyatt teased a match between him and Rollins or Strowman for Hell in a Cell in a segment of Firefly Fun House.

Rollins and Strowman face off for the Universal title on Sunday at Clash of Champions and most expect Rollins to retain the title.

Hell in a Cell will be held on October 6, 2019, at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. This PPV could very well be the show Wyatt gets his first Universal title match since his return to WWE earlier this year.

#2 WWE makes mistake while filing a trademark

WWE often files trademarks on Superstar's nicknames or ring names of Superstars so that others do not use the same. We revealed on a recent rumor roundup that WWE had filed trademarks to a few names and it has now been revealed that they have filed a few more trademarks.

But there is one problem - they've made a mistake in a Superstar's name. WWE have filed trademarks for a few NXT Superstars, as per WrestleZone, which includes Taynara, Dakota Kai, Marina Shafir, Jessamyn Duke, The Forgotten Sons, Vanessa Borne, and Xia Li, but they got the spelling of one Superstar wrong - Io Shirai.

The trademark filed by WWE had Shirai's name spellt as "Lo" Shirai rather than Io Shirai. This is a clerical error, and it will be easily sorted out, but it's surprising that WWE got this one wrong, although the error is understandable as only one letter has been changed.

#3 Backstage news about The Revival's WWE status

The Revival
The Revival

Earlier this year, there were a lot of rumors doing the rounds that The Revival - the tag team of Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder - were unhappy in WWE and asked for their release.

Tom Colohue has revealed that the duo were unhappy at the tag team division though it seems that it's now settled and the former RAW Tag Team Champions are happy.

"From what I’ve been told, they definitely raised concerns about the tag division. Changes have been made since and they are happier going forward with WWE now than they were," said Colohue on Dropkick DiSKussions.

The duo, who were moved to the main roster from NXT in 2017 and have gone on to win the RAW Tag Team titles twice, both of which happened in 2019. The current RAW Tag Team Champions are Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins, who will defend their titles against the team of Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode this Sunday at Clash of Champions.

Ric Flair is currently in a legal battle with WWE over the use of "The Man" moniker, which RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch currently uses.

Flair revealed recently that he wants compensation from WWE over the use of the name which he popularised back in the 1980s.

But, this doesn't seem to have affected his appearance on SmackDown's first show on Fox, which will air on October 4th, as per Rajah.com.

#5 SmackDown Special show

WWE's SmackDown show is set to move to Fox on October 4, 2019, but that won't be the first WWE show on Fox as per PWInsider. Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that Fox will air a show called SmackDown's Greatest Hits on 27 September 2019, a week before SmackDown kicks off.

SmackDown will move to Friday nights when it moves to Fox. This special will be one hour long and will showcase what fans can expect on SmackDown.
