#5 Triple H talks about a CM Punk return

There has been a lot of chatter related to CM Punk as of late. Punk, who had remained adamant on never returning to pro-wrestling, recently took a U-turn when he stated that a "big bag" is what it will take to bring him out of his pro-wrestling slumber.

Here is what Punk had said while appearing on "My Mom's Basement" podcast at Barstool Sports:

My attitude has always been that I don’t see it (returning to WWE) happening. I think I’ve talked about it more recently, but my attitude hasn’t changed. People always ask what would it take to go back, and I say it would take a big bag. So people use their imaginations.

Triple H was recently part of Ariel Helwani's MMA Show, where he talked about multiple topics including a possible CM return. The Game has been rumored to have not-so-cordial relations with Punk. However, that didn't stop Hunter from making his stance on a CM Punk return clear:

That's a 'could be'. Vince will say it all the time: 'We're open for business'. The past is passed, today is today and you never say never in WWE."

So here we have it, Triple H has made it clear that he doesn't have any objections to CM Punk returning and that the doors are always open.

#4 Carlito gets an offer from WWE

I hope you all remember Carlito because not doing so would make you uncool, and we all know what Carlito did to people who don't want to be cool!

The former US and IC Champion had joined the company in the 2000s and quickly rose to success, having memorable feuds with top Superstars such as John Cena. The 40-year-old, however, left the company in 2010 and hasn't returned in a major capacity since, even though he has continued to work for other promotions.

Former WWE Superstar Savio Vega revealed while speaking to Hannibal TV reporter Jeremy Prophet that WWE had approached Carlito as recently as last week to discuss a possible in-ring return.

#3 CM Punk's WWE Backstage deal in trouble

While his in-ring return continues to stir speculation, the one thing that seemed to be a possibility was CM Punk joining the panel of FS1's show WWE Backstage. There had been plenty of rumors that had stated that Punk joining the show was all but done. However, it looks like the plans have been shelved, at least for now.

Here is what Fightful Select has stated:

“As mentioned before, Punk's tryout went well and he impressed the Backstage team, but it was left in the hands of higher ups at FOX that seemed like they'd ‘moved on’ as recently as this week. Nothing is concrete in that regard, though.”

The next challenger for AJ Styles’ United States Championship will have their work cut out for them, as they’ll have to win a 20-Man Battle Royal at WWE Crown Jewel before trying to dethrone The Phenomenal One in one-on-one competition on the same night.

There are very few Superstar who can boast about cutting a promo brilliant enough to compare themselves to The Nature Boy, and Flair proved that he is on top of his promo game this week on RAW yet again.

The Hall of Famer was full of energy and some questionable words before he introduced Drew McIntyre as the final member of his 5-man team which will take on Hulk Hogan's team at Crown Jewel.

Here is what Cagesideseats revealed to be the reason for the promo:

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned WWE was trying to copy real sports with the interview with Ric Flair on Raw happening during a match.
