Released Superstars take shot at WWE

The Revival have taken a shot at WWE by releasing a 'Finally Free' merchandise. The tag-team were released earlier this month as their contracts were coming to an end.

Dash Wilder, now known as Cash Wheeler and Scott Dawson, now known as Dax Harwood, are expected to join All Elite Wrestling when their non-compete days are over. They had reportedly asked for their release last year as well but WWE were doing their best to keep hold of former champions.

Despite the best efforts, Dax and Cash refused to sign the deals offered to them and left the company earlier this month.

Drake Maverick could be rehired

Wrestling Observer Radio's Dave Meltzer has revealed that there is a good chance of Drake Maverick getting rehired. However, he has made it clear that he is just assuming it based on how things are pointing in that direction right now.

Maverick was released last week in the mass exodus but was allowed to participate in the NXT's interim Cruiserweight Championship tournament. Meltzer explains:

The Drake Maverick stuff is really interesting. I mean that's the most interesting stuff on the show. They're playing it up really big that he's been fired but he's still in the tournament anyway and he's doing these tearful things and he wrestled Jake Atlas and lost. No matter what they were going to do he was going to lose the first one. So now his back's against the wall. He can still advance with the 2 in 1 record out of the block. If he loses the next match, I could not even comprehend how absolutely ridiculous this is, but if he wins the next two then it sort of makes sense.

Right now, Meltzer reports that Drake is on the same deal as Sarah Logan and they have been asked to work despite being released.

The Rock sends a message to Triple H

Triple H is completing 25 years in WWE this week and he got a message The Rock. The People's champ appeared on WWE The Bump while The Game was being interviewed on the show.

Via a recorded video, The Rock heaped praise on Hunter and spoke about how he has always had that hunger in him to succeed in WWE. The two were involved in multiple matches in the late 1990s and early 2000s but never had real heat between them.

“I knew out of everybody in the locker room that there was a hunger in your eyes, and we were going to be competitors and we were going to compete and work our a**es off. That’s exactly what we did and that’s exactly why we gelled together and had incredible chemistry.”

Triple H also spoke about how Vince McMahon was convinced about signing him after he saw The Game's match at WCW Starrcade. He revealed that it was towards the end of his contract with WCW and he had held a meeting with Vince before that.

Drake Maverick claims he was never given a chance in WWE

Drake Maverick is fighting for his WWE career and is in the Interim NXT Cruiserweight Championship tournament. He appeared on WWE The Bump this Wednesday and revealed that he was upset that WWE never gave him a real chance.

The former 205 Live General Manager was shooting a documentary of his return to the ring when he got the call about his release from the company. Talking about his time in the company, he aid:

"It's just a case of adapting, just like this situation now, okay? And I always look at it like this: 'Right, what have I got in front of me, what have I got to play with? Okay, here we go. How can I make this better than what it is?' And that's what I've always done. If anybody that's followed my career, even here at WWE, I don't get given anything man, I get given crumbs, but I make it a steak. And I've always wondered right, what would happen if somebody one day just gave me a steak? Think about what I could do with it."

Triple H reveals who would run WWE if Vince McMahon is removed

Triple H has claimed that after Vince McMahon, it is Stephanie McMahon who runs the show at WWE right now. The Game revealed that the Chief Brand Officer is involved in all the departments and gets the business like no one else.

Hunter was on WWE The Bump when he was talking about Stephanie is putting WWE on the map with their charity work and other initiatives. He claims that while WWE were already doing all those things, no one was really taking notice of it as it was not presented well. He said:

Steph just gets this business. She's one of the smartest people I know, She's very instinctive and very much like Vince in that standpoint, She just feels it. One of the things I love about her is she has this huge heart as well. You see that with Conor's Cure and initiatives within the company as Cheif Brand Officer.
She for me is, when this is all said and done, if you take Vince out of the equation, Steph is the WWE, in every level. She is the family of it. She is the heart of it. She is the soul of it.

Personality-wise really just being charismatic and being able to get people invested in, Mayweather would be great. He has a crazy, great background and he would come in and like shake things up."
"I also think that someone like Serena Williams would be great too. I think as a woman, she's just powerful and strong, she can represent and you know, I think she can bring a whole other demographic of fans and audiences to WWE. I think those two could really come in and shake things up here."

Bianca Belair was in the NXT until WrestleMania but has now been moved to Monday Night RAW.
