Isn't is disconcerting that WWE has yet to announce a single match for the upcoming TLC PPV that will take place on December 15th?

While Vince McMahon has a genuine reason behind the decision to delay the announcements, Dave Meltzer provided a comprehensive update on the matches that may feature on the card in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Let's get the obvious ones out of the way first.

Rusev and Bobby Lashley will have the first match in their feud at the PPV and it's reported that it will not be a gimmick match.

Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin will have a stipulation at the show. It was, however, added that WWE could alter the stipulations of both matches.

Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch will take on The Kabuki Warriors for the WWE Women's Tag Team titles in a TLC match.

Meltzer also revealed that there were two matches that will be added to the card without any changes being made. Those are Aleister Black vs. Buddy Murphy and the Viking Raiders vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson in a RAW Tag Team titles match.

The New Day could put the SmackDown Tag Team titles up on the line against Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler, which is also subject to change.

Three more matches were disclosed, which, as per Meltzer, are being talked about but not confirmed backstage.

Braun Strowman could get a shot at the Intercontinental Champion in a match against Shinsuke Nakamura while Randy Orton could take on AJ Styles.

Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins has also been pitched for the PPV.

The main event of TLC is expected to be a Universal Championship match between The Fiend and Daniel Bryan. There is also a possibility of WWE replacing Daniel Bryan with another veteran Superstar.

Here's a summary of the rumored card:

  1. Rusev vs. Bobby Lashley
  2. Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin (Stipulation match)
  3. Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch vs. Asuka & Kairi Sane (WWE Women's Tag Team titles match)
  4. The Viking Raiders vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson (RAW Tag Team titles match)
  5. The New Day vs. Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler (SmackDown Tag Team titles match)
  6. Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles
  7. Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins
  8. Braun Strowman vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (Intercontinental title match)
  9. Aleister Black vs. Buddy Murphy

The plans for United States Champion Rey Mysterio and SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley are still unknown but we should know more about the same in a few days.
