WWE Rumors: Former WWE champion backstage at tonight's Raw
What's the story?
In case you didn't know…
Following an eight-month absence from WWE television, Bray Wyatt returned to our screens after WrestleMania 35 as the host of ‘Firefly Fun House’.
The popular segments, which showed off Wyatt’s fun personality as well as his dark side, came to an end in mid-June. Since then, the former WWE champion has been making his presence felt on Raw and SmackDown Live with the help of puppets from the ‘Fun House’ – Abby the Witch, Mercy the Buzzard, Rambling Rabbit and Huskus the Pig – who have all appeared in backstage segments.
Last week’s episode of Raw also featured the main-roster debut of NXT Tag Team champions The Street Profits.
Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford said in a backstage interview early on in the show that they were there to “bring the swag” to Raw, while they later took part in a segment with Paul Heyman, the show’s new Executive Director, in which they made fun of him.
The heart of the matter
Wrestling Inc. is reporting that Bray Wyatt is backstage before Monday’s episode of Raw in Newark, New Jersey, but it is unclear if this will be the week that the former Wyatt Family leader, who has been present at several events recently without making an appearance, will finally make his on-screen return.
Meanwhile, following their debut last week, both members of The Street Profits are also reported to be backstage ahead of the show.
The WWE Universe will have to check out Raw on Monday to find out what plans, if any, WWE has for Bray Wyatt and The Street Profits.
