What's the story?

Nia Jax and Dean Ambrose were reported to be having an intergender match at an upcoming WWE live event until it was cancelled but it appears that the match could still go ahead at a different time instead.

In case you didn't know...

Nia Jax and Dean Ambrose have had a number of confrontations on Monday Night Raw in recent weeks, but were originally scheduled to have their first match against each other at an upcoming live event in Arkansas before sponsors forced WWE to cancel the match.

Intergender matches are still a controversial topic for many members of the WWE Universe and sponsors of events and venues which could be why WWE has had a hard time pushing the women forward in recent years, because it's hard for the rest of the world to adapt to intergender matches after years of the men being seen as much more superior.

The heart of the matter

According to a recent report by The Wrestling Observer, WWE was forced to cancel the upcoming match at the live event in Arkansas, but this doesn't mean that it won't happen again in the future.

WWE has a number of other locations for live events and pay-per-views lined up in the coming months and it could easily mean that Dean Ambrose's match with Nia Jax is added to a different show instead.

What's next?

Dean Ambrose is set to leave WWE in the coming months, but recent reports suggest that WWE could be hoping to re-sign Ambrose before then by offering him a number of attractive clauses in a new contract.
