The Anti-Diva is coming back to her house!
The Anti-Diva is coming back to her house!

What's the story?

Paige is all set to make her return this to WWE TV as the former Divas Champion is reportedly scheduled to appear during both the RAW and SmackDown tapings, as per a report from PWInsider.

In case you didn't know...

Paige officially announced her in-ring retirement on the Raw episode of April 9th, 2018 and cited a serious neck injury as the reason behind the unforeseen decision.

However, the popular Superstar was announced as the SmackDown General Manager on the following night on SmackDown Live. She was introduced as a babyface GM which meant that her Absolution stable had to be split.

The 2-time Divas Champion stayed as the shot-caller of the blue brand until the McMahons announced that they would be taking over all decision-making duties on the December 17th, 2018 episode of Raw. The General Manager positions were thus scrapped and Paige has since not made a single appearance.

Shane McMahon, though, clarified that the 26-year-old will be a part of the show in some capacity. What and how WWE plans on using Paige has still been a mystery but we could get an idea regarding the same on this week's episodes of Raw and SmackDown.

The heart of the matter

For those of you who don't know, WWE Studios along with The Rock's Seven Bucks Productions have made a biopic on Paige's WWE career called 'Fighting with my Family'.

The sports-comedy drama takes a look at Paige family and her journey from wrestling in small-time promotions in England to the WWE ring. The movie premiered to positive reviews at the recent Sundance Film Festival and the worldwide release is slated for 22nd February 2019.

It's believed that Paige will be appearing on Raw and SmackDown to promote the film and is not expected to be involved in an ongoing storyline.

What's next?

Paige will undoubtedly get the biggest pop of the night if she does make her comeback this week and while we have no problems with the usual movie promotion shtick, we sincerely hope WWE uses her in a greater capacity on the road to WrestleMania 35.

She may not be able to wrestle anymore, but her star power and experience can surely be utilized to great effect.
