WWE Rumours: Sasha Banks to take time off

Is The Boss going to be taking a hiatus again?

At Sunday Night at Hell In A Cell, Sasha Banks was set to defend the Raw Women’s Championship inside Hell In A Cell, in what was not only the first women’s Hell In A Cell match but also the first time women main evented a Pay-Per-View in WWE history. Regardless of the fact that Sasha lost the title to Charlotte, history was made nonetheless.

According to CageSide Seats, Sasha Banks was helped to the back by officials after the Hell In A Cell match, but the fact that she was not present on Monday Night Raw may be a tell-tale sign that it’s not just a storyline injury, but a real life one.

There is the possibility that her absence on Raw could be time to sell the injury. It was rumoured from Monday morning that Sasha Banks was supposed to retain the Championship at her hometown of Boston, but the reason they put the title back on Charlotte was to speed up a Charlotte vs. Bayley feud.

Currently, Raw is building their teams to Survivor Series, and Charlotte, the Women's Champion is the captain of her team. So far, the team consists of herself, Nia Jax, and Bayley, with two spots up for grabs. The Boss was expected to take the fourth spot, but that's up in the air if she is legitimately injured.

She does technically have her rematch clause, so after Survivor Series there is a chance to drag the feud with Charlotte out for one more PPV, which is Roadblock on December 18th. However, they could always do a rematch on Raw and instead move on to the Charlotte vs. Bayley feud at Roadblock.

Sasha’s feud with Charlotte started at the end of June and lasted for a full four months.
