WWE Rumours: Mauro Ranallo returning to NXT this week

Mama Mia, he's back!
Mama Mia, he's back!

Mauro Ranallo has been noticeably absent for a week now. Though he had another incredible night at the commentary desk alongside his fellow compatriots Nigel McGuinness and Beth Phoenix at NXT TakeOver: WarGames, Ranallo stepped away prior to Survivor Series.

After some criticism received by SmackDown announcer Corey Graves, Ranallo deleted his Twitter account and hasn't been seen behind the desk since. At last week's NXT taping, Ranallo was replaced by long-time commentator Tom Phillips, who filled his shoes as best he could.

Ranallo was also set to call a handful of matches at Survivor Series considering many NXT talents were taking part in the event. However, that never came to pass.

Still, it just didn't feel right without Mauro Ranallo's all-out enthusiasm. Thankfully, though, it looks like he'll be back where he belongs this Wednesday.

Mauro Ranallo returns to NXT

According to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, it looks like our regular commentary team will be reunited on Wednesday. Sources stated that he's scheduled to be at the desk that night.

Mauro Ranallo has definitely been missed, and we'll definitely be glad to see him back where he belongs. After all, with the Wednesday Night Wars, every part of the show needs to high calibur, and that includes the all important announce team.
