Why was Seth Rollins absent recently, Braun Strowman news and more

- Those who saw WWE live events this weekend might have noticed the absence of WWE World Heavyweight and WWE United States Champion Seth Rollins from the tapings.

It was because “The Architect” was given off WWE live events this weekend as he is on vacation with his girlfriend, ex-WWE NXT Diva Zahra Schreiber. The couple has been vacationing in the Dominican Republic. However, Rollins is headed back to the U.S. today so that he can be in Baltimore, Maryland for Monday’s edition of WWE RAW.

His girlfriend Zahra has been in the news recently for all the wrong reasons as she was trending on twitter for posting an image with the swastika. It seems the WWE wants Rollins to get her back to her normal frame of mind which is why Rollins was given the opportunity to take a break.

- WWE has a host of superstars and divas celebrating their birthday’s today. Prominent among them being Braun Strowman. The new Wyatt Family member celebrates his 32nd birthday today. Strowman was born on September 6, 1983. Also celebrating birthdays today are former WWE Diva Jillian Hall (35), former WWE Superstar Low Ki (36), WWE Hall Of Famer Wendi Richter (54) and former WWE Superstar The Barbarian (57).

Strowman has had quite an impressive debut up until now and his rise to the main roster comes as a birthday gift for him. It remains to be seen whether the WWE would be able to keep up the hype surrounding the latest addition to The Wyatt Family.

- For whatever this is work, longtime WWE employee Tony Chimel returned to his position as a ring announcer at the WWE live event in Wildwood, New Jersey on Saturday night. Eden did the ring announcing for the WWE live event in Charlottesville, Virginia, and Dasha Fuentes handled the NXT ring announcing. JoJo may have had the weekend off.
