Alexa Bliss hit Sister Abigail on Nikki Cross this week!

There was so much about this week's episode of WWE SmackDown that was absolute gold, but honestly, everything that's happening with Alexa Bliss at the moment is a whole step above the rest. Yes, Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross, Tamina, and Lacey Evans were part of a Fatal Four Way match on WWE SmackDown this week to determine who would face Bayley next, for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship.

Even though it seemed for a brief instant that an alliance had been forged between Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, in a shocking turn of events, Alexa Bliss hit Nikki Cross with Sister Abigail. And then, it seemed as if she walked out of the arena entranced, caught in a thrall.

Why did she choose to inflict such pain, in such a unique manner, on her supposed best friend? Well, here are 5 things that Alexa Bliss implied by hitting Sister Abigail on Nikki Cross, on WWE SmackDown this week.

#5 Alexa Bliss will not be a part of the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship picture for some time

It is often said that anyone who plays a Supernatural character should be above material concerns like a Championship (although Bray Wyatt does not seem to be) and Alexa Bliss did the right thing by walking out of the Fatal Four-way match on WWE SmackDown this week. It is very clear right now that Sasha Banks and Bayley will be the central focus of the WWE SmackDown women's division going forward, and thanks to Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, we have a second strong storyline at this point as well.

Sasha Banks and Bayley definitely do care about gold, and Alexa Bliss does not, so it is pretty clear which feud will feature the eventual title match.

#4 Alexa Bliss will be using a different move set, in the thrall of The Fiend

There are so many signature moves of The Fiend that Alexa Bliss can adopt, as her descent into the darkness takes her to places that she has never been. Yes, the Mandible Claw immediately comes to mind, but she could also convulse by the turnbuckle in the manner that Bray Wyatt does, or even execute the running senton similar to Bray Wyatt's offensive move, although she may not necessarily have the bulk to make it happen.

No Alexa Bliss may not be the physical manifestation of Sister Abigail, because it has been mentioned several times now that Sister Abigail does not exist, but she could be possessed by the demonic spirit of Sister Abigail or indeed, Abby The Witch, in storyline. What will be awkward to see is how Alexa Bliss manages to balance this new character with her brand new podcast which may not necessarily be the smoothest transition, based on just how different the two WWE personas will be.

#3 Alexa Bliss is going to interfere during Nikki Cross vs. Bayley in some way

There was a sense of discontent on the Sportskeeda Writers' Chat when it was discovered that Nikki Cross would be facing Bayley next, as Alexa Bliss walked out of the match, considering that this is a feud that we have seen in the past already. It was then that Andrea Hangst, Sportskeeda Wrestling's Senior Editor, brought up the fact that this time around, there would be an element of the supernatural with Alexa Bliss' involvement in the proceedings, meaning that there would be an air of something quite different from the norm in the matchup.

It is all too likely that Bayley will retain the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship against Nikki Cross, because it just seems like Sasha Banks should be the one to dethrone her, based on the story that is being told at the moment. And if that is the plan, Alexa Bliss may just get involved in the proceedings, in a sense, to protect Nikki Cross in defeat.

#2 We will see a lot more change in Alexa Bliss in the weeks that follow

When one undergoes a change in character, it necessitates the person to make significant changes to her/his persona, and one has to believe that we will see a lot more changes in Alexa Bliss in the weeks that follow.

Yes, Alexa Bliss has a new look after eating the Mandible Claw from The Fiend not very long ago, but one has to imagine that she will get new music as well (Imagine the Monday Night Messiah coming out to 'Burn it Down', for example, or even Bayley coming out to her former theme song, at this stage). And even in terms of her look, now that Alexa Bliss has embraced the darker side of her persona, could we see some significant changes?

Maybe she starts wearing the Hurt/Heal gloves, going forward.

One thing is for sure, that in a few weeks, while she embraces this transformation, Alexa Bliss will be a very different person from her bubbly NXT character or even her whole 'Goddess' persona.

#1 Alexa Bliss may actually get involved in the Universal Championship picture, at a later date

It is very clear at this point that Alexa Bliss and The Fiend will align in some manner, even if Little Miss Bliss is not channeling the spirit of Sister Abigail at this point in time. And so, if Alexa Bliss does become The Fiend's manager or valet, so to speak, then she could even the odds against Paul Heyman when the two forces of nature battle next.

It is very clear that The Fiend and Roman Reigns will clash for the Universal Championship at some point down the line because it was such a hot topic in this week's episode of the Firefly Funhouse.

Moreover, it is doubly clear that the new puppet in the Firefly Fun House is a parody of Paul Heyman, meaning that The Fiend will want someone to watch his back when the two wrestlers collide.

Imagine a verbal clash between this version of Alexa Bliss and Paul Heyman. The possibilities are enough to make one giddy with excitement and anticipation.
