Roman Reigns was not happy after Drew McIntyre confronted him

With WWE Survivor Series 2020 around the corner, this week's episode of SmackDown did not disappoint. A stacked show saw a RAW Superstar show up and compete in the main event against Jey Uso. We also saw the final chapter of the feud between Seth Rollins and the Mysterio family which saw a surprising twist at the end.

Tonight's SmackDown also saw the debut of an NXT Superstar. Chelsea Green made her SmackDown debut in a Fatal-4-Way match for a spot on the SmackDown women's team at Survivor Series.

Otis was also in action this week on SmackDown. After a disappointing couple of months where a lot has gone wrong for Otis, did the former MITB winner manage to turn the tide when he faced Dolph Ziggler in a singles match?

With Riju Dasgupta unavailble this week, the responsibilty of Best and Worst fell to me. Check it out.

#3 Best - Otis beat Dolph Ziggler clean on SmackDown

The feud between Otis and Dolph Ziggler goes back months to when Ziggler tried to take Mandy Rose away from Otis. Otis has not had much luck recently, with Mandy Rose getting drafted to RAW and then his best friend Tucker also heading to the red brand. Tucky ended up turning on his Heavy Machinery teammate at Hell In A Cell, costing Otis his Money In The Bank contract.

This week's episode of SmackDown saw Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode making fun of Otis backstage. This led to the two of them facing off inside the squared circle. The match saw an impressive performance from Otis as he beat Dolph Ziggler clean, despite Robert Roode trying his best to interfere from ringside. Otis needed a big win to bounce back from what happened at Hell In A Cell and WWE are doing a great job to bring him back from his MITB contract loss.

#2 Worst - Drew McIntyre showing up on SmackDown

While I understand that some readers won't agree with me on this, I'm a firm believer that the RAW and SmackDown roster should be kept apart as much as possible, especially this soon after a WWE Draft. We are also very close to Survivor Series, which WWE promotes as the only night that RAW and SmackDown Superstars get to face off in the ring.

With McIntyre on SmackDown this week, and WWE still having RAW and SmackDown stars appearing on the other brand, this only weakens the whole RAW vs SmackDown dynamic that WWE push with Survivor Series.

Drew McIntyre came out this week on SmackDown to confront WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Not only did Drew McIntyre show up on SmackDown tonight, he also ended up wrestling Jey Uso. While I've counted Jey Uso versus Drew McIntyre as a 'Best' later because it was a fantastic match, that doesn't mean that I agree with McIntyre showing up on the Blue brand. McIntyre had Adam Pearce make the match official. The more WWE keep the rosters apart, it will be all the more special when RAW and SmackDown stars face off against each other.

#2 Best - Jey Uso steps up against Drew McIntyre

After Drew McIntyre's confrontation with Roman Reigns in the ring on SmackDown, it was Jey Uso who stepped up to face the former WWE Champion in singles action. Despite the fact that I wasn't a fan of Drew McIntyre showing up on RAW, I loved the match itself.

WWE has really built up Jey Uso well in recent weeks and it showed once again on SmackDown as he went toe to toe with McIntyre in the unsanctioned match.

As Drew took the upper hand in the match, Roman Reigns music hit and the Tribal Chief came out along with Paul Heyman. Jey Uso used the distraction to blindside Drew McIntyre and send him face-first into the ring post. Roman Reigns then instructed Jey Uso to send a message to Drew McIntyre.

Jey Uso got back in the ring and started unloading on Drew McIntyre with the right hands. However, McIntyre almost immediately hit back with his patented Claymore Kick and pinned Jey Uso to pick up another big win on SmackDown.

#2 Worst - Disappointing debut for Chelsea Green on WWE SmackDown

Chelsea Green was added to the Survivor Series qualifying match on SmackDown that also involved Natalya, Tamina and Liv Morgan. Green was a late addition to the match, making her SmackDown debut in the process.

Unfortunately for Chelsea Green, it probably wasn't a debut to remember. The former NXT Superstar suffered an injury early on in the match and it meant that she wasn't heavily featured throughout the contest. Another possibility could be that Chelsea Green was called up to fill the spot of Zelina Vega who was released yesterday.

After Green was out of the match, it was mainly Liv Morgan and Natalya going back and forth inside the ring. The match was eventually won by Liv Morgan who will now officially be a part of the women's team for SmackDown at WWE Survivor Series later this month.

We will have further updates on the situation with Chelsea Green when they are available. Despite her debut not going great, Chelsea Green is super talented and will surely bounce back even stronger.

#1 Best - The final chapter between Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio on SmackDown

The feud between Seth Rollins and the Mysterio family has been one of the bright spots in WWE in recent months. The storyline has taken a number of twists and turns, especially with Aalyah Mysterio's recent involvement on SmackDown. The whole Romeo and Juliet aspect of the romance between Murphy and Aalyah Mysterio has added a fresh twist to this feud.

Tonight's SmackDown saw Seth Rollins face Rey Mysterio in a match that was called 'The Final Chapter' between the two WWE Superstars. The match did not disappoint with both Rollins and Mysterio bringing their best. With the entire Mysterio family at ringside as well as Murphy, the stakes were definitely high in this one.

Seth Rollins went for a stomp into the steel steps at one point of the match but Rey turned the tables and used the steel steps himself to good effect. Later on in the match, we saw a table used as Seth Rollins powerbombed Rey Mysterio through a table. As Rollins went to use a steel chair, Dominik Mysterio tried to get involved and ate a superkick for his troubles.

It looked like Murphy would help Rollins finish Rey Mysterio at this point but he turned on his Messiah. This gave Mysterio the chance to hit the 619 and a Frog Splash to finish off Rollins and win the final chapter between the two. A fantastic finish to an incredible match.

Following the match on SmackDown, we saw Dominik and Murphy shake hands and it looks like Murphy finally has the acceptance of the Mysterio family.
