WWE SmackDown Preview: 2 World Champions after Crown Jewel, Big title match confirmed

After Crown Jewel stunned the world, we arrive at SmackDown
After Crown Jewel stunned the world, we arrive at SmackDown

I think that the verdict is pretty unanimous right now. Crown Jewel was a huge success and to many, it was the best pay-per-view from Saudi Arabia thus far.

And yet, the men and women of WWE will have no time to bask in the glory of everything they accomplished because they will fly halfway around the world for SmackDown on FOX, which is scheduled to come our way in a matter of mere hours. So with that in mind, here is a preview of the upcoming episode of the Blue brand.

Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts heading into this big show. As you guys are well aware, Survivor Series is also on the horizon and for the first time, NXT will be a part of the proceedings too.

I guess it's a pretty fun time to be a WWE fan.

#4 Bray Wyatt and Brock Lesnar are now on the same brand

The men's division in WWE has 2 top titles- the Universal Championship and, of course, the WWE Championship. And the reason for this is simple- there is supposed to be a World Champion on every WWE brand. Shockingly enough, that is no longer the case with both Bray Wyatt and Brock Lesnar on the very same brand.

I suppose that the whole situation will be addressed by Bray Wyatt when he appears on Miz TV this week. SmackDown on FOX is already taking shots at RAW, and it will be interesting to see how the Red brand deals with everything. I suppose this is a great setup for Survivor Series, where the Champions of each brand will battle one another, leading to interesting times on both RAW and SmackDown.

Who do you think the next challenger for Brock Lesnar will be? Let us know in the comments below.

#3 The New Day gets a massive title shot

The New Day and The Revival participated in the world's largest Tag Team Turmoil match and both teams came up short in it. The OC would go on to win the whole thing and earn the distinction of being called the best tag team in the whole world, right now.

While that is a claim that can be debated, there can be no debate at all about the fact that if you put The New Day and The Revival in the same ring, sparks will fly and I don't mean the electricity that we saw during the Universal Championship match in Saudi Arabia. These are two of the best well-oiled machines in the world,

But is it time for Kofi Kingston to finally abandon his world championship dreams and slip into the mid-card once again? One also has to remember that the added advantage of Xavier Woods at ringside will not be felt in this match because the man is on the shelf after having suffered a serious injury.

Is it time for a change in guard on SmackDown with The New Day picking up the gold again?

#2 Bayley finds a few unlikely allies on SmackDown

This is a very weird match and one can only assume that it's being put together because some major storyline is going to arise out of it. Bayley will be teaming up with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville to take on Nikki Cross, Dana Brooke, and Carmella in a 6-woman tag team affair.

There are no stakes in this match at all, except for the fact that Nikki Cross has a Championship opportunity against Bayley at some point down the line. I can only assume that this is a showcase for the women of SmackDown and it honestly makes me wonder why Sasha Banks is not a part of the mix for now. One wonders if she's a little tired of the whole sidekick act and wants to kick the whole friendship business right out of the window, stepping into the title picture herself.

Or maybe it is just a match designed to kill time and has no bearing or consequence when it comes to the overall picture. In any case, it should be interesting to note whether Shayna Baszler potentially confronts Bayley ahead of the Survivor Series clash.

#1 Roman Reigns faces a King

It is very clear that Roman Reigns and King Corbin are on a warpath, especially based on the events of SmackDown over the past few weeks. Everything came to a head, on WWE Backstage that led to a match between WWE's 'big dog' and resident monarch being set up on the Blue brand.

Both Roman Reigns and King Corbin are big men and one can only assume that a clash between the two WWE bulls would be a power-packed affair that is guaranteed to entertain the fans. King Corbin may not have exactly been the most exciting individual when he came to the company but at this moment, he is one of the company's very best workers.

Bear in mind that Roman Reigns picked up a big victory for Team Hogan at Crown Jewel and this essentially means that he will have all the momentum as we head into this colossal clash. It's been a while since anyone kicked out of an RKO (thanks Gary Cassidy for reminding me) and so I think it's very unlikely that Roman Reigns gets pinned in this particular match.

All in all, this will be an episode to watch out for!
