Sonya Deville kicked off SmackDown after WrestleMania Backlash with the announcement WWE would be back on tour and out of the Thunderdome starting in July.

Deville then congratulated all the champions on the blue brand - Apollo Crews, Bianca Belair, the Mysterios, Natalya & Tamina before introducing Roman Reigns.

Reigns' music hit but Paul Heyman came out to say that Roman was not going to participate in the titleholders parade and would hold his own celebration at his own leisure.

Bayley came out to talk trash about all the champs except Apollo. She called Bianca a cheater and wanted the SmackDown Women's title to be taken from her. Bianca got in the ring and Bayley was about to retreat but then Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax attacked the SmackDown Women's Champion from behind.

A brawl broke out and the tag team champs Tamina and Natalya joined in but they were also taken out. Bayley, Nia, and Baszler stood tall at the end of this segment.

Bayley, Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax vs. Bianca Belair, Tamina and Natalya on SmackDown

Team Bayley was dominating early on before Tamina came back with a vertical suplex on The Role Model and tagged Natalya in. Bayley got back in control and brought Shayna in before Bianca entered the fray and countered out of a Khirifuda Clutch.

Bianca hit a big dive from the top rope to the outside on her opponents but it looked like she injured her knee on the fall.

After a break on SmackDown, Bianca had the advantage and was about to hit a springboard move but Bayley dragged her out of the ring and hit a Bayley to Belly Suplex.

Natalya was legal and went after Bayley but Shayna caught her from behind and locked in the Khirifuda Clutch for the win.

Result: Bayley, Shayna Baszler, and Nia Jax def. Bianca Belair, Tamina and Natalya

Shinsuke Nakamura introduces new ally on SmackDown

King Corbin was out next on SmackDown and was not happy about having his crown stolen by Shinsuke Nakamura last week. He said he would punish him tonight before taking back his crown.

Corbin was interrupted by Rik Bugez, who called himself Ricky Boogs, and played along with Nakamura's theme song while Shinsuke made his entrance.

King Corbin vs. Shinsuke Nakamura on SmackDown

We returned after a break to see that the match was underway and Corbin got some good strikes in before hitting a huge powerbomb off a counter. Nakamura dropped The King with a sidewalk slam before lining up for the Kinshasa but Corbin got back in with a suplex.

Corbin got the Deep Six for a near fall before Boogs got on the announcement table and started playing Nakamura's intro again. Corbin was distracted and Shinsuke rolled him up for the easy win.

Backstage on SmackDown, Jimmy Uso asked Sonya for a match between The Usos and the Street Profits and she said it would be billed for next week.

Kevin Owens got in a quick backstage promo saying he would be winning the Intercontinental title tonight.

Roman Reigns confronted by Cesaro on SmackDown

Roman Reigns was out next and we got a recap of his match with Cesaro and the aftermath before asking Heyman to "celebrate him".

Heyman listed off Roman's achievements one by one in his usual over-the-top way before Roman asked for Jimmy Uso. Cesaro came out instead and challenged Roman for a title match at Hell in a Cell. Rollins attacked the Swiss star before Roman could answer and went after his injured arm again.

Rollins was sent off once but still came back to attack Cesaro and hit a stomp on the Swiss Cyborg while he was on the steel ramp. The Messiah delivered another one for good measure and Cesaro had to be rolled out on a stretcher, something we rarely see in the Thunderdome.

Seth Rollins was backstage on SmackDown after the incident and said he blacked out. He then ran towards Cesaro on the stretcher and blamed him for what happened with a manic look in his eyes.

The Mysterios were out next on SmackDown and Ziggler & Roode came out to talk trash about Dominik before we headed for a match.

Robert Roode vs. Dominik Mysterio on SmackDown

Roode hit an early suplex before spearing Dominik into the corner. Dominik hit a top rope crossbody and a Tornado DDT before setting up for the 619. Ziggler tried to interfere but Rey took him out.

Roode used the distraction to get a rollup but Dom kicked out before sending The Glorious One into the ropes for a 619. He then hit the Frogsplash before getting the pin for a quick victory.

Result: Dominik Mysterio def. Robert Roode

Jimmy Uso told Jey about the tag team match next week and he was not happy about it. Jey then went to Roman to tell him but Reigns told him to focus on the 'Tribal Chief' and not his own career.

The Street Profits were back on SmackDown and were sure that Jimmy Uso was about to be ditched by his brother Jey next week and would have to face them alone.

Apollo Crews (c) vs. Big E vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn - Intercontinental Championship Match on SmackDown

Owens and Sami went after each other while Apollo and Big E squared off as the match started on SmackDown. Big E was dominating the bout and set up Sami and Apollo both on the apron and hit them with the splash before Owens took him out with a dive.

After a break on SmackDown, Zayn took out Crews on the outside before Kevin Owens hit him with a senton in the ring. Crews hit a trip of German Suplexes but Owens broke the pin. Sami hit an exploder suplex on KO but missed the Helluva Kick.

Owens hit a huge brainbuster for a near fall before Apollo dropped on the apron. Big E delivered a spear and sent Crews outside before we headed for a break. Back on SmackDown, Big E hit some big suplexes before KO nearly pinned him with a splash.

We had a big sequence of moves before Owens almost pinned Crews. Zayn hit a huge move on the outside before Big E took him out in the ring. Big E hit the Big Ending on Apollo Crews but Azeez dragged him out of the ring.

Big E sent Azeez into the ring post before the lights inside the ThunderDome started to act weirdly. Aleister Black emerged and made his way to the ring to confront Big E. He hit a Black Mass on Big E, letting Apollo pick up the win.

Result: Apollo Crews def. Big E, Kevin Owen & Sami Zayn to retain the Intercontinental Championship.
