Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer recently responded to a fan on Twitter and confirmed that Vince McMahon has unbanned the word 'wrestler'. WWE Superstar Dash Wilder responded to the tweet and indicated that he has got something to do with the word now being used by wrestlers on WWE TV.

A fan asked Dave Meltzer on Twitter whether Vince McMahon has dropped the ban on the word 'wrestler'. The fan added that he has been noticing a lot of wrestlers using the term instead of "WWE Superstars" or "sports entertainers" lately. Meltzer responded with a 'yes', and The Revival's Dash Wilder noticed the response. Wilder replied to Meltzer's tweet and took credit for this recent development.

Over the past several years, we have seen a string of words being banned from WWE TV, with 'wrestler' being one of the most surprising inclusions in the list. For a long time, WWE performers have referred to themselves as WWE Superstars or sports entertainers, and not 'wrestlers'.

Twitterati seems to be behind Wilder on this, judging from the replies to his tweet. What are your thoughts on Wilder's claim?
