In an event where Edge came up short in his match against John Cena, Trish Stratus left her home fans stratisfied as she won her final match in the WWE against her long-time rival Lita to capture the WWE Women’s title one last time applying the finishing move of another one of Canada’s greatest – Bret Hart – the Sharpshooter

4) John Cena wins his first ever World Heavyweight Championship vs Chris Jericho in Boston (Survivor Series ’08)

John Cena may bring out mixed reaction wherever he goes, but he does get a lot more support when he goes home to Beantown. Cena went up against the devious Chris Jericho as he picked up one his most important wins in front of his home-town as he overpowered the Canadian to take the title.

3) The Rock defeats John Cena in Miami (Wrestlemania 28)

In the so called ‘Once in a Lifetime’ match, ‘The Most Electrifying Man in All Entertainment’ took on the man that replaced him as the face of the WWE in front of his home crowd in Miami. However it could be only one man who would emerge victorious and the Rock did what he promised he would do.

2) Goldberg defeats Hulk Hogan for the WCW title in Atlanta (WCW Nitro, July 6,1997)

Goldberg had already won the US title by this time and a 105 of WCW’s wrestlers had fallen at his feet. So when he defeated the NWO’s leader Hulk Hogan, it didn’t come as any surprise.
