WWE to return to Malaysia.

Good news for the wrestling fans in Malaysia as the WWE is set to return to the capital city of Kuala Lumpur after a decade for two days of wrestling action.

The South-Asian country will witness some of the big names of the business including WWE Superstars live, including John Cena, Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Family, The Shield, and the current Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett.

Malaysia Major Events, a division of Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau and an agency under the Tourism and Culture Ministry, are the supporters of WWE Live.

Henry Tan, chief operating officer of Astro said, "Astro is pleased to partner with WWE to bring world class entertainment, WWE LIVE, to its fans in the South-east Asia region.

"Fans of WWE are set for an action-packed, entertaining event this October. We are delighted to bring the WWE experience from TV to the live stage.

"WWE Live is expected to draw tourists from the Southeast Asia region with an estimated tourist expenditure of close to RM33 million over the two days. WWE has always been one of the favourite entertainment programmes in the region and Malaysia since it was introduced on television,” he added.

Tony Nagamaiah, general manager of Malaysia Major Events said,"Malaysia is proud to host WWE Live, adding to the roll call of many distinguished events that coincide with Visit Malaysia Year 2014."

"We are excited to return to Malaysia with WWE live events in 2014," said Sweesin Wu who serves as the WWE's vice president and general manager in the Asia Pacific region.

"These events reflect WWE's commitment to our growth in Malaysia, and to expanding our relationship with Astro.

WWE would like to extend special thanks to MME for their vision in engaging WWE, and for MME's high level of professionalism and expediency in progressing negotiations which successfully resulted in 'WWE Live Malaysia 2014' coming to fruition," he added.

The Putra Stadium in Bukit Jalil will be the venue for two nights in a row on Oct 10 and 11.
