Bray Wyatt was reportedly injured in the dark match

The main event of Smackdown Live was a tag team match featuring WWE World Champion Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler against Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan. The match finished with Ziggler giving a superkick to Rowan and then pinning him. Smackdown Live ended with Dean Ambrose standing tall after hitting the dirty deeds on Ziggler while celebrating their victory.After Smackdown Live went off the air with a dark match between Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt. The match ended with a disqualification win for Ambrose after Bray hit him with a steel chair. Ambrose fought back and hit Bray Wyatt with the dirty deeds to end the show.

However, it appears that Bray Wyatt suffered an ankle injury yet again during the match, as captured by a fan’s tweets:

Backlash will take place on September 11th, 2016

Backlash will be making a return after over 7 years. However, John Cena is expected to miss this live special, as he will be off filming the second season of True Grit.
