WWE WrestleMania 37: 5 potential finishes for Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair

Who will walk out of WrestleMania with the SmackDown Women's Championship?
Who will walk out of WrestleMania with the SmackDown Women's Championship?

Sasha Banks will defend her SmackDown Women's Championship against Royal Rumble winner Bianca Belair tonight at WrestleMania. WWE recently announced that the two women would make history and become the first females to main event WrestleMania with a singles match.

Banks and Belair have dominated the WrestleMania buildup since January. However, they were unable to claim the Women's Tag Team Championships at Elimination Chamber and Fastlane when their looming encounter became too much to overcome.

Finally, the two women will stand opposite each other tonight as part of WrestleMania's main event and only one will be able to walk out SmackDown Women's Champion.

Ahead of the show, here are just five potential finishes for one of WWE's most anticipated matches to date.

#5 Bianca Belair becomes SmackDown Women's Champion at WrestleMania

Bianca Belair won the Women's Royal Rumble back in January and chose to challenge Sasha Banks rather than Asuka at WrestleMania. This shows that Belaie believes she has more of a chance of defeating The Boss on the grandest stage of them all.

Over the past few months, it's been shown that Banks and Belair are very similar given that they have all the attributes required to become the best in their field.

While The Boss and The EST of WWE have bonded in recent months and have even teamed together on several occasions, the main event of WrestleMania is something both women have dreamed of their whole lives.

Banks and Belair are the first women to main event WrestleMania since Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35. As the first African-American women to achieve such a feat, both will leave it all in the ring tonight and only serve to lift the prestige of the Women's Championship.

Belair is yet to win gold in WWE and only made her main roster debut back at WrestleMania 36. Tonight will be the first time Belair has had an entrance at WrestleMania and it could be the night that she walks out as SmackDown Women's Champion.

The KOD remains one of WWE's most protected finishing moves. If the former NXT star is able to avoid the Bank Statement and hit the Kiss Of Death on The Boss, it's likely she will be walking out of The Raymond James Stadium as a champion for the first time.

#4 Sasha Banks retains her SmackDown Women's Championship at WrestleMania 37

Sasha Banks has dominated WWE over the past few years but has never been given the chance to main event WrestleMania.

The SmackDown Women's Champion has made history inside Hell in a Cell as part of the first-ever Iron Woman match and was even one half of the first-ever Women's Tag Team Champions.

Despite how much history The Boss has made over the past six years, WrestleMania's main event is the pinnacle for every woman in that locker room. This means so much to Sasha Banks and she will want to ensure that she's victorious.

The Boss has stood out since her promotion to the main roster and even though Belair has proved that she has what it takes to dethrone the current champion, Banks has experience on her side. In front of the returning WWE Universe, The Boss could reach a new level.

#3 There could be a controversial finish in order to throw forward to a WrestleMania rematch

The first-ever women's main event at WrestleMania back in 2019 saw Becky Lynch come out on top against Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in a Winner Takes All Match.

The match had quite the controversial finish when it was noted by several fans at the time that when Lynch pinned Rousey, the former champion's shoulders were not down.

Rousey left WWE after the match which has opened the door for a rematch in the future, but this could also be the way that the company decides to book the match between Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair.

It's hard to choose a winner in this match and if there is a controversial finish, it could be that the company will be able to throw forward to a rematch at Money in the Bank next month.

WWE doesn't have contractual rematches anymore so if Banks loses her Championship at WrestleMania, this could be the only way to ensure a rematch at next month's pay-per-view.

#2 Bayley could interfere in the match out of jealousy because she isn't part of WrestleMania

Bayley isn't scheduled to be part of this year's WrestleMania show, even though there are rumors that the former Women's Champion could have a talk show segment instead.

After tonight's WrestleMania, Bayley will be the only member of The Four Horsewomen of NXT who hasn't main evented WrestleMania. After the year that she had in 2020, The Role Model has to be hurt by the way it's worked out.

It would be hard to blame Bayley if she did interfere in the match just to make a point to her former friend Sasha Banks and to Bianca Belair since these two women were her latest feuds.

Belair overcame the threat of Bayley before her huge push at the Royal Rumble, while Banks ended Bayley's historic championship reign at last year's Hell in a Cell.

Will the longest reigning SmackDown Women's Champion make her presence known tonight as part of the WrestleMania main event between Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair?

#1 Reginald interferes to help Sasha Banks retain her Championship at WrestleMania

Reginald was a huge part of the feud in the Women's Tag Team Championship picture heading into this year's WrestleMania. The former Sommelier of Carmella has since been fired and was taken under the wing of Nia Jax.

Although Reginald made it clear that he was interested in Sasha Banks, he has been appearing on Monday Night RAW over the past few weeks. Reginald will be in attendance at WrestleMania alongside Jax as the champion keeps a close eye on tonight's Tag Team Turmoil match.

This means that it's likely that if Banks is about to lose her SmackDown Women's Championship in the main event, then this could be the swerve of the night if he comes out and helps The Boss retain.

While that's unlikely, it's not an angle that can be overlooked since WWE hasn't circled back on why Reginald and Banks had a storyline earlier in the year.
