Gojo Satoru, the beloved Jujutsu Kaisen character, and his second awakening have been a topic of discussion ever since his supposed death in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 235. Although Sukuna and Gojo fans have eternally clashed with each other regarding the latter's survival and his demise at the hands of Sukuna, chapter 260 spoilers delivered a brief appearance of someone who appears to be Gojo.

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 236 delivered a lot of cryptic imagery and the confirmation of Gojo reaching a limbo-like space where he discussed his fight and journey with Nanami, Geto, and Haibara. Chapter 260 spoilers teased the much-awaited return of Satoru Gojo, which has been consistently theorized to be the result of the efforts of many different characters.

Yuta, Ui Ui, and every other Jujutsu Kaisen character that is possibly behind Gojo's comeback

1) Shoko Ieiri

Shoko Ieiri must've been the cornerstone for Gojo's revival, especially due to her close relationship with him. This and the fact that Shoko hasn't had a good onscreen feat compared to her reputation as the best healer in the story's universe supports the fan theories around Shoko sacrificing herself or a part of herself to revive Gojo from the dead.

Additionally, Shoko didn't appear much during the entire fight against Sukuna, so she may have been spending time trying to revive or heal Gojo. Given her notable absence, it makes sense that she might have been focusing all her efforts on bringing Gojo back, which would explain why she hasn't been prominently featured in the recent chapters.

2) Ui Ui

Among the huge cast, Ui Ui is the single Jujutsu Kaisen character who had the biggest impact on the entire Sukuna fight. Since Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 235, everyone has been wondering about Satoru Gojo's mysterious disappearance.

This and the soul-swapping between Yuji and Kusakabe fueled many theories. All of these were later revealed to be Ui Ui's doing due to his cursed technique, which allowed him to safely retrieve Gojo's halves from Sukuna. In a sense, Gojo's comeback (if spoilers come true) was only possible due to Ui Ui's cursed technique.

3) Yuta Okkotsu

Yuta Okkotsu must've also been a pivotal character in Gojo's comeback, simply because he is the only Jujutsu Kaisen character other than Shoko who can apply the Reverse Cursed Technique to others. In addition, his status as the second strongest sorcerer after Gojo and having one of the largest cursed energy pools must've made him a pivotal character in Gojo's comeback.

4) Kento Nanami

Nanami Kento was the one to point out the North and South analogy and highlight his satisfaction with his life. This might've prompted Gojo to complete his mission of nurturing a new age of sorcerers stronger than himself. Nanami had a strong and prominent nurturing theme attached to him, so his death and satisfaction with his life might've prompted Gojo's alleged comeback.

5) Geto

Geto's existence alone might have made Gojo come back to ensure that the situation that started with Geto's rather extreme plan to exterminate humanity does not get used by the likes of Kenjaku and Sukuna. Kenjaku taking over Geto's body and Gojo being unable to eliminate him directly might also have been a huge factor behind Gojo's comeback.

6) Toji and Megumi

Toji and Megumi could've been among the biggest reasons and drivers behind Gojo's alleged comeback simply due to the indirect promise that Gojo made to Toji. Toji and Gojo essentially agreed that Gojo would become Megumi's new parent, and Megumi's current difficult situation must've fueled Gojo's resolve. Sukuna's possession of Megumi and Megumi's tendency to give up his life must've been a huge factor in Gojo's alleged return.

Final thoughts

Gojo's return hasn't yet been confirmed and has only been teased in chapter 260. It's still entirely possible that Sukuna is hallucinating about Gojo in his weakest moment yet.

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 260 will be officially released on May 19, 2024, and it will be available for reading on Shueisha's MANGAPlus platform. Fans eagerly await the official release to see if the speculation about Gojo's comeback holds true.
