Four more teams advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament. No. 1 Alabama is out of March Madness after losing to San Diego State. No. 1 Houston was also dumped from the tournament by Miami.

Meanwhile, Texas put in a dominating performance against Xavier, while Creighton ended Princeton's Cinderella run. San Diego State, Miami, Texas and Creighton joined Kansas State, Florida Atlantic, Gonzaga and UConn as this year's Elite Eight.

San Diego State stuns Alabama

For the first time in their school history, the San Diego State Aztecs qualified for the Elite Eight. San Diego State stunned No. 1 Alabama 71-64 on Friday (Mar. 24 at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The Aztecs are set to take on Creighton on Sunday (Mar. 26).

Darrion Trammell led the Aztecs with 21 points and five rebounds, while JaeDon LeDee scored 12 points off the bench. San Diego State also limited Alabama's star forward Brandon Miller to just nine points in what could be the final game of his collegiate career.

Miami dumps NCAA tournament favorites Houston

The Houston Cougars were the best team in the nation all season long and were the favorites to win the NCAA tournament. However, they were eliminated by the Miami Hurricanes on Friday. For the first time in March Madness history, there are no No. 1 teams in the Elite Eight.

Nijel Pack had 26 points, four rebounds and two assists in Miami's dominating 89-75 win. Isaiah Wong scored 20 points, while Norchard Omier added 12 points and 13 rebounds. Jarace Walker put up 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Crimson Tide.

Creighton ends Princeton's Cinderella run

No. 15 Princeton's Cinderella run in the NCAA tournament ended on Friday against Creighton. The Bluejays were simply too much for the Tigers in a game that ended 86-75. Ryan Kalkbrenner scored a team-high 22 points with five rebounds and two assists.

Creighton survived despite great games from Tosan Evbuomwan and Ryan Langborg. Evbuomwan had 24 points, six rebounds and nine assists, while Langborg finished with 26 points and three rebounds. Princeton has not been to the Elite Eight since 1965.

Texas dominates Xavier

The Texas Longhorns are back in the Elite Eight for the first time since 2008. Texas was simply too good for the Xavier Muskeeters, especially in the first half. The Longhorns built a 17-point lead at half-time before Xavier tried to make a comeback in the second half.

Tyrese Hunter had a team-high 19 points for Texas, and Marcus Carr added 18 points, four rebounds and six assists. Christian Bishop and Sir'Jabari Rice both had great games off the bench, scoring 18 and 16 points, respectively. Adam Kunkel had 21 points in Xavier's 83-71 loss.
