John Calipari has been building his roster at Arkansas, and the latest potential commitment for the next year is AJ Dybantsa. 247Sports' Travis Branham reported that the No. 1 recruit received an offer from Calipari and the Razorbacks a week ago.

For now, John Calipari's roster at Fayetteville consists of 2024 recruiting class talents like Boogie Fland, Billy Richmond and Karter Knox. All these players were previously recruited by coach Calipari to the Kentucky Wildcats but recommitted when he resigned from the job in early April.

Besides the freshmen, the only other player at Arkansas is former Kentucky forward, Zvonimir Ivisic who transferred from Lexington. He's Calipari's only former player to follow him to Arkansas. Most transferred, while others like Rob Dillingham and Reed Sheppard, declared for the NBA draft.

AJ Dybantsa shares potential teams on his list

Dybantsa began visiting schools in early 2024 and has been to two: Auburn and USC. He shared his thoughts on both the visits to 247Sports.

About Auburn, he said:

"I am trying to be a guard and Bruce Pearl produces a lot of guards for the NBA, so I am going to take a visit there and see how it goes. He's a hard coach and I can take hard coaching. I know a couple of people committed there and that is going there right now."

When AJ Dybantsa visited Southern California in January, Andy Enfiled and his staff were still around.

"It was good. The coaching staff told me what I can be and what I can't be so it was good. It was in LA and who doesn't want to be in LA so just good all around. They said that if I go there that I will low-key run the show. I can be the one-guard, two-guard, even at 6-foot-8 I can run the team."

Now with Enfield gone, it's still unknown if the high school junior has changed his thoughts.

Similarly, when he spoke of Kentucky, John Calipari was still the coach. Now, having received the offer from Arkansas, it will be interesting to see which program he picks.

On Kentucky, Dybantsa said:

"Terrence [Clarke] went there so he told me about them, what I can be and position-wise they produce a lot of pros so it's a good option."

AJ Dybantsa added that for now his focus is on his senior season and he will be taking visits once again in the fall.
