UConn coach Dan Hurley is busy this off-season with hiring new talent to his roster. Some players like Cam Spencer and Tristen Newton exhausted their college eligibility while upperclassmen Donovan Clingan and Stephon Castle declared for the 2024 NBA draft.

The Huskies signed Michigan transfer Tarris Reed Jr. on Tuesday and added 2024 recruits Ahmad Nowell, Isaiah Abraham and Liam McNeeley to the roster.

Amidst this, coach Hurley shared a picture on X that summed up his staff's work on the transfer portal.

Fans in the comments loved his update as one replied:

"You can only make these types of posts when you’ve won back to back," another fan joked.
"Two titles and probably a job for life. I hope things work out for you," a fan added.

Meanwhile, a few fans thought the picture had a few Easter eggs.

"There are 4 pillars in the picture, that means he’s brining in 4 big transfers. Wow I’m so smart," a fan said
"He did a photo similar to this about the portal before we got the Michigan kid. I think there is news coming about another commitment…," another commented

Other fans encouraged Coach Hurley to keep up the good work.

"Keep it up coach! Surely there’s a bottle of Bai that could re-energize you…," a fan joked

"u got this bro no doubt u can develop anyone i to a top talent., " a fan assured Hurley.
"Decided to mess with us a little today and honestly I respect this bit," a fan commented

Dan Hurley reveals his criteria for recruiting new players to the team

After the National Championship back-to-back, Dan Hurley sat down for an interview with CBS This Morning where they discussed the one important aspect of the recruitment process.

"There's measurable talents you have to have -- the height, the speed, the skill set. But we spend a lot of time really focusing on the parents. Are they going to be fans of their son or are they going to be parents," Hurley said.
"Are they going to hold them accountable, have an expectation that when something goes wrong that it's not the coach's fault? That their son's got to work harder, he's got to do more, he's got to earn his role."
"They tell on themselves. They drop hints. You've got the wrong type of people around the inner circle of your players, they'll sink your program."

This method seems to work the best as Hurley has led the Huskies to championships with completely new rosters of players. His players Cam Spencer and Donovan Clingan have credited Dan Hurley and the coaching staff for the great culture on the team that has fostered their growth.
