Kyle Berkshire once again clinched the World Long Drive Championship by the smallest of margins this Sunday, October 22. This win added to his career's third victory in the same competition.

In the finals, Berkshire's best performance of 398 yards defeated Sean Johnson by one yard. He also produced a 432-yard poke on his sixth and final attempt in the quarterfinal, which helped him advance past Justin James.

Right after his triumph, Kyle Berkshire said:

"I knew I just needed a couple tiny things to go my way and I'd be right there. When you lose that feeling and that kind of mojo, when you get it back it's much more sweet."

This season, Berkshire unexpectedly failed to take home any medals despite recently breaking the world records for the fastest ball and the longest drive.

However, this win made him one of the three golfers to get three victories in the World Long Drive Championship. The other two long-drive legends are Jason Zuback and Sean Fister.

Berkshire went on to say further:

"I respect those guys beyond measure and to even be close to being mentioned in the same air as them, it's pretty humbling for me.I'm just going to keep my head down, keep training, keep taking care of my body and just keep taking swings."

Furthermore, the 26-year-old golfer is optimistic about playing for many more years and perhaps winning some more times.

"Hopefully, I'm around for another 15 plus years and I can rack up another couple more."

Ryan Reisbeck and Monica Lieving joined Kyle Berkshire in celebrating a win at Atlanta

Other than Kyle Berkshire, Ryan Reisbeck and Monica Lieving were two other players who were happy to celebrate a win at Atlanta.

Earlier in the week, Ryan Reisbeck took home the Senior Division Championship. His winning drive covered 372 yards against Robert Oristaglio. This win came after chasing it for 13 years.

In the women's finals, Monica Lieving defeated four-time world champion Phillis Meti and won her first championship with a drive of 288 yards.

Although the driving distances were far from what Lieving is used to, Meti went out of bounds on all six balls, giving Lieving a chance to win. With this latest triumph, all three winners were rewarded with a 48” Kinetixx Velocity LD30+ shaft.

Moreover, these winners had one more thing in common between them. All three have been trained at Bobby Peterson's One Stop Power Shop in North Carolina for several years.
