Conor McGregor ready to make comeback at UFC 303

Conor McGregor is set to return to the octagon after a lengthy absence.

UFC CEO Dana White confirmed that McGregor will face Michael Chandler in a welterweight bout headlining UFC 303 on June 29 in Las Vegas. This comes nearly three years after McGregor suffered a leg break during his last fight against Dustin Poirier.

The highly anticipated main event has fight fans buzzing, and the UFC has been steadily adding to the card's significance. Last week, it was announced that the co-main event will feature a light heavyweight clash between Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree Jr.

According to combat sports journalist Aaron Bronsteter, the undercard for the McGregor vs. Chandler event is stacked. Fans can expect a women's bantamweight bout featuring Mayra Bueno Silva and Macy Chiasson, a featherweight fight between veterans Cub Swanson and Andre Fili, a middleweight matchup between Joe Pyfer and Marc-Andre Barriault, and a strawweight clash between Michelle Waterson-Gomez and Gillian Robertson.
