Jon Jones is one of the baddest men on the planet. Other than a DQ loss, the UFC heavyweight champion has never been bested in his MMA career. However, Jones was not always this dominant. In fact, there is a picture of him finishing third on the wrestling podium to former WWE superstar Matt Riddle. But it seems 'Bones' never lost to Riddle.

While Riddle won the New York State high school wrestling championships in 2004, 'Bones' apparently never fought him. In a recent post on X, the MMA legend laid to rest the decade-old rumor that he lost to 'The Original Bro' during his high school wrestling days, claiming:

"Some of these guys will say anything for clout. If you actually did your homework, you would realize I never actually wrestled Matt Riddle. I wrestled Jack Sullivan in the semi-finals [04] and lost, then went on to beat Jack our senior year to win the New York State High School wrestling championships like a boss. Fast Lane, champion sh*t, all the way back in high school."

'Bones' has been out of action since suffering a pectoral injury while training for his originally planned fight against Stipe Miocic at UFC 295 last November.

While the promotion is yet to announce a new date for the highly anticipated contest, 'Bones' teased in a now-deleted post on X the date and venue for his next fight:

"November 9th Madison Square Garden, here I come baby."

When Roman Reigns spoke about Jon Jones' WWE potential

Jon Jones is widely regarded as one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time, but can the UFC legend make it in WWE? Roman Reigns believes "definitely."

During a 2020 interview with TMZ Sports, 'The Tribal Chief' opined that while pro-wrestling demands a whole separate skill set to MMA, 'Bones' could make it big in the industry:

"He has definitely got the tools, there is no doubt, he is a bad man. But what we do is a little bit different than the octagon and it's going to be a different travel schedule and different demands. But I definitely think he has a great name, he has got a great work ethic... I definitely think there could be a future for him if he can put in the time and transition and develop the skills that we use."
