Ever wondered what would an Arsenal side look like in five years from now. Who will be the players to make the cut, who will be the stars of the future. Will van Persie stay? How good is JW19 going to be. Here is a short analysis of what the Arsenal of 2016 would look like.
Goalkeeper - Szczesny (value 30M)
Looking at the current scenario Szczesny will be the best keeper in the league. A difficult man to beat, the pole would be at the peak of his abilities and hopefully Barcelona wont be able to sway his decision to stay.
Left Back - Gibbs (value 20M)
England’s first choice LB, Gibbs will finally take charge of the LB position, though injuries will always be a part of his career and hamper his potential to become the best in the world.
Center Back’s - Koscielny (value 30M)/Vermaelen (value 30 M)
This pair will be the best CB pairing in England. Good in the air, very solid and masterful in intercepting attacks. Both the Center back’s will be at the peak of their carrer’s and will once again bring back the memories of Adams and Keown.
Right Back - Jenkinson(value 15 M)
Another player’s who is just about to peak. With the guidance of Sagna he will become a very solid RB. His main attributes will be crossing, pace, and strength.
Defensive Midfield - Coquelin(value 30M)
Perhaps the most dynamic CDM of his era, who has vision, passing and bags of trickery. He will be the one to dictate play from the defense. A true star in the making, his greatest achievement would be to limit the starting opportunities of Frimpong.
Central midfield - Fabregas(value 60M)
Arsenal’s buy back clause works wonders(first time the board got it right). Fabregas will make a sensational return to Arsenal. Having won it all with Barcelona, he hopes to emulate his success in an Arsenal jersey this time. Currently the best CM in the world, he is what Xavi was to the great Barcelona side of 2010.
Central attacking midfield - Wilshere(value 50 M)
In 2015-2016 Wilshere will be amongst the top three midfielders in the world along side Mario Gotze and Lucas Leiva. He will be racking up 25 assists per season and a commendable 10 goals per season. He is going to be the English version of Iniesta and Barcelona would be trying to lure him to the Nou Camp but will fail trying.
Left wing - Miyachi(value 30 M)
Ryodinho will be Arsenal’s Wizard on their right-wing. He will be all what Theo Walcott promised to be and still being 24 years he wouldn’t have even reached his peak. His main attributes will be his pace and dribbling. He will be a real nightmare for full backs.
Right wing - Oxlade Chamberlain(value 60-80M)
OX would be Arsenal’s most devastating player. Real Madrid will look to acquire his services for their n’th galactico project. Over 25 goals per season and an admirable 20+ assists from the OX is what we expect by 2016.
Forward – Campbell(value 30 M)
Joel is the perfect poacher and the reincarnation of Ian wright. A striker blessed with clinical finishing and the one who gets into excellent attacking positions, Joel Campbell will lead Arsenal’s front line, but he will have very tough competition from Benik Afobe who will have a similar rise.
Manager - Pep Guardiola
Finally after winning two consecutive trebles with Barcelona and getting sick of humiliating Real Madrid, Pep takes up the challenge of coaching Arsenal after Arsene decides to coach the French national team having finally won the Carling cup for Arsenal and ending the trophy drought.
Reserves
Goalkeepers - Fabianski(15M),Vito(10M)
Fabianski would be a brilliant understudy to his polish compatriot and Don Vito will be the third choice keeper.
Defenders - Bartley(12M), Djourou(8M), Sagna(15M), Yennaris(10M)
Sagna would be in the twilight of an illustrious Arsenal career. Bartley & Djourou will be the 3rd & 4th choice CB’s.Yennaris is another emerging player giving competition to Jenkinson.
Midfield
Frimpong(20M), Thiago(20M), Lansbury(15M), Aneke(20M), Eisfeld(12M), Ramsey(25M)
This combined package will be one of the most complete midfield in the world. A set of blossoming and still accomplished players. Frimpong will be Arsenal’s version of Balotelli (with more brains) and would totally destroy his opponents.
Forwards
Van persie(35M), Afobe(25M), Deulofeou(25M), Bojan(20M), Wellington Silva(15M)
The Arsenal of the future still has the presence of the flying Dutchman, who towards the fag end of his career is passing on his knowledge to the likes of Afobe and Wellington.
Ex-Gunners
Transfered – Gervinho(AC milan), Song(Barcelona)
Mertersacker - Hangs up his boots with more than 125 caps for Germany.
Arteta - Becomes an Arsenal scout in Spain,he is the one to snap up players from La-masia for Arsenal.
Henry - Takes the post of assistant manager for Arsenal and will be learning his trade under Pep.
Arshavin - Goes back to Russia to play for Anzhi at 400K per week.
Walcott - The surprise package, finally decides to quit football and takes up athletics as his profession.Wins a silver medal at the Olympics only a after finishing just a fraction behind Usain Bolt.
Bergkamp - He will coach the under 18′s and will nurture the talents of Zak Ansah and Freeman.
Adams - He will be Arsenal’s defensive coach. Has added the steel required in the generally fragile Arsenal backline.
All in all it seems five years from now, Arsenal might possibly have the best squad in Europe. Though these are some far-fetched possibilities but a lot of it can turn out to be real. The rise of the OX and Wilshere along with Joel Campbell and Miyachi is a very realistic dream.
