Defending F1 champion Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull) secured his second consecutive pole position at Canada with a superb qualifying lap of 1:13.784. This is also Vettel’s second pole in 2012. He had earlier claimed pole at Bahrain, where he went on to win the race.
Vettel would definitely like to put behind the disappointing of losing the top spot on the podium to McLaren’s Jenson Button on the final lap of last year’s Canadian GP. His pace on Saturday is a clear indication that he has got the car to do it on Sunday.
