MBTA’s first full fledged tennis academy in a residential complex in Pune

Pune, 23rd October 2013: Post the success of their multiple academies across the country, the management team of the Mahesh Bhupathi Tennis Academies (MBTA) today announced the launch of their latest academy, to be situated at Megapolis, a township in Hinjewadi, Pune.

Megapolis is a partnership between Kumar Properties, and ABIL. For MBTA it will be the thirty-eight Academy in the country and the first full fledged tennis academy in the city – the other two being solely school programs. MBTA at Megapolis will strive to provide top quality coaching for children as well as adults at attractive prices.

Programs to be offered at the thirty-eight chapter of MBTA will include tennis training across various levels of competency for children and adults, corporate packages as well as private lessons.

The academy will also be conducting tennis clinics and other events to increase the awareness about the sport and to create a higher level of interest for the game.

Owing to its proximity to some of the biggest corporate houses in the country, the MBTA in Megapolis, Pune will also offer cost-effective corporate packages which will include coaching, off-sites, tournaments and other events.

With over 150 acres of land, Megapolis is one of the most modern townships in Pune and an apt location for this academy due to its infrastructural facilities and prospective audience.

Arjuna Awardee and double Asian Games Gold Medalist, CEO of MBTA, Gaurav Natekar, the driving force behind MBTA was enthralled to see his vision for the sport materialize through the launch of yet another academy.

MBTA was founded in 2006, by 12-time Grand Slam winner Mahesh Bhupathi was conceptualized with the objective of imparting professional, world-class training (both practical and theoretical) and highly specialized coaching to youngsters of all age groups.

MBTA was also developed to increase the accessibility of tennis by ensuring that people across all socio-economic groups have the opportunity to experience the joy of the sport.

Over the years, MBTA has established itself as India’s premier tennis academy imparting international quality coaching through a team of 90 professionally trained coaches to over 10,000 children across various levels.
