AEW Dynasty saw a title change after a long 238-day reign and a title unification. This match had all the ingredients to be on the main card despite taking place on the pre-show.

This was none other than the unification match for the two sets of trios titles between Bullet Club Gold (Austin, Colten Gunn & Jay White) and The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster) & Billy Gunn. The two groups have been fighting for months, and it all came to a head at Dynasty pay-per-view.

The match started off in fast fashion. Colten Gunn and Anthony Bowens got off to a great start. After landing a couple of shots on his opponent, Colten was tagged out by Austin, and that also saw his father, Billy Gunn, get into the ring.

That upped the ante and there were shots thrown. After a lot of to and fro, Jay White tagged himself into the match, and that was when things started to look up for his team. Billy Gunn no sold moves on him by his sons, but The Switchblade got the win after hitting him with a blade runner. This ended The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn's 238-day title reign, which they won at AEW All In 2023 on August 27.

The crowd loved to see Jay White pick up the win for his team and thereby unify the AEW World Trios Championships and ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships.
